Kicking off the impressive list is a Full, 1080p HD Ready 22 inch screen. This means that whether you're using the M227WD for HD computer games, films or TV, you can rest assured that you're getting the maximum resolution possible. Images are superbly detailed and super crisp. With a response time of just 5ms, the M227WD is free from motion blur and tracks even the fastest moving images with great precision.

In terms of sound quality, the M227 may not be as good as a separate Hi-Fi or home cinema system but it's better than the average £200 TV. SRS WOW gives a boost to the sound with the equalizer enabling you to tune the audio to your exact requirements. If you fancy improving upon the sound, then an optical output with Dolby Surround allows you to connect the M227WD to your home cinema system.

In addition to offering a top quality audio and visual experience, the M227WD has class-leading connectivity. Whether you're connecting games consoles, a PC or AV devices, the M227WD has got it covered. An HDMI socket and a DVI input take care of HD sources, while a PC-input is on hand for your computer. For other sources there are two SCART sockets, a handy USB and a component. In short, the M227WD is just as well equipped as much bigger and more expensive TVs.

For a 22 inch 1080p LCD TV that compromises on nothing but price, the M227WD is in a class of its own.

i have this tv, bought it just over a year ago for £175, worked out £170 after quidco and i have 3 years warranty aswell (come with it) and got it delivered free. your link incurs a £10 delivery charge i think so you would need to include that in your total price

No mention of a "handy USB" in the manual. I can see a usb port quite clearly but it only refers to it as a service only port. Does it play avi etc with a hack or something?

Yes it can after being hacked but it depends on the firmware version. I have version V3.03.0 which the hack worked on so it can now play DivX, Xvid and VOB files, either via a portable hard drive or usb flash drive. I also think the hack works on version V3.05.0 as well.

This is an excellent TV and PS3 games look fantastic through the HDMI (Wipeout and Super Star Dust are crazy detailed) BUT there is no damn RGB Scart socket which is annoying for people like me who still play a gamecube....

You can get a hack for the LG, as i have done this by using a philips remote control for around £10 off ebay - you just have to alter a setting in the one of the menus. It will play AVI and Xvid just look on the forums. there is a clip on youtube as well which uses the CPC remote control but this did not work for me.

I used a Logitech Harmony 515 but it was originally for a 555, if you have a Harmony let me know and I'll PM you the details.

Odd, as my gamecube official RGB cable displays no picture when used in either scart socket, despite working on our other TV.
