You should have no regret there ! I brought 2 tvs from dixons in the past and had to sell both on,if i had brought from amazon i would of been able to return them unlike dixons ! They wouldn't even accept it back the day after due to it being turned on !

I hate dixons, currys, comet ect ect They are after one thing and thats your money and they will do all they can to not give it back to you.

Good deal if you want to take the risk, which i have learned the hardway and won't do. Its amazon or john lewis for me now. I would rather pay a bit more knowing i have peace of mind over money grabbing branches which only care about reaching there sale targets :|

I did it was from dixons..... They don't have stores no more ....? I know more now than i did then and i would fight more. Except i won't put myself though it, amazon have accepted 2 returns from me and i am still searching. Amazon will always get my bussiness now even if the item is £20 more. Big electrical items anyhow

You should have pushed it. The retailer is responsible for the warranty on any electrical item. Don't let them palm you off by saying it is the manufacturers responsibility as soon as you are out of the door. This is simply not true. I once rejected a desktop computer just as I was paying for it at the till because the salesboy tried to tell give me that bull. I re-educated him then walked out with the sale incomplete.

Yeah I guess you could look at it as paying £15 for the after sales support, I'm confident buying with amazon, especially on something thats a few hundred quid. They have a similar model with HD freeview and 5 year waranty at John Lewis for £320, it was that or the amazon one for £243- but as it was a present for my mum I chose the cheaper one! lol

It's a great TV btw! Bought a Toshiba 32kv500 earlier in the week from ebuyer and it was crap! It went back for a refund yesterday- I'm just hoping they do refund, otherwise I'll have 2 TV's eep!

I didn't know it then and i would now, i have sold the tv to my mum at a loss, it has a wonky stand and some backlight bleed and the stand is starting to annoy but i use to think you had to deal with it, it was 5 months ago when it was brought now but the stands always been the same. Any idea if its worth contacting dixons ? The backlight bleed is all around the edges on a close to £600 set

Thanks

The DSR's give you 7 days after you receive an item from an online purchase to return it(at your cost) for a full refund.
They worked you from behind on that one.

Now, you are restricted to the Sale of Goods Act. This gives you six months to bring up any faults. Any faults you bring up are for them to prove that they weren't there before(in essesence).

Google it, or go onto the governments website for more info.

ask them for the difference back ;)
they're good that way

I'm gonna create an account with them later today and try and apply the code - their google advert definitely states this price and the code.

Did you have to pay to return it to ebuyer ?

No, it had a fault- it wouldn't keep the sharpness setting after putting it into standby so the picture had lots of bright contour lines. Hopefully they don't sting me and say it's fine then refuse to refund! But I've heard ebuyer are pretty good at returns.

Do they pricematch from other websites? I thought they only gave you the difference back if it changed on Amazon? Anyway, if the code doesn't work theres no point in doing so

DO NOT EXPIRE ITS STIL IN STOCK ... only the price needs changing as the code doesnt work

Nope they don't price match for just 1 person, they always price match there prices to other retailers most of the time. Which i don't mind as amazon seem to be one of, if not the best online retailer at this moment. I always hope or wait if you like for amazon to price match a deal if i am after it :D
