Perhaps thesaint is referring to the marketing blurb... I mean item description that states it's Full HD quite a number of times..... :)

50Hz?

Is that a no then?
#17
I'm guessing 100hz+ would be better for PC gaming

Just had a look on Amazon which says 60Hz, the eBay page says 50 but considering most TVs are 60 I'd believe Amazon.

AFAIK 60Hz should be fine for connecting up to a PC but if you've got an ATI graphics card then there's more setup needed to make sure the picture fills the screen and looks decent

I have the 42" version of this range. Very happy with it. At £7.50/inch it is a real bargain, in my opinion.

Ordered one this morning to take abroad with me for the Villa in the picture..

Has anyone ever taken a TV as luggage on a plane?

Is there a trick to this to ensure it doesn't get damaged?
#21
Thanks OP, have been after a reasonable priced 32" TV for a while, just ordered this one :) still more than 10 left if anyone else is tempted

Fantastic price, voted hot.

Thought about cancelling my JL Sony order and order this but for the extra £60, I am getting a 5 yr guarantee, Freeview HD, internet TV and an extra 2 x HDMI.

I didn't fancy the idea of carrying a TV all the way to Tenerife and the hassle of airports and worrying about damage, so i posted mine 2 days before I left.

I fancy shipping a screen out to Spain for my sisters place. Would get destroyed on a plane in the luggage hold IMO. No chance it would arrive intact. Surely it's not cost effective to ship one of these abroad ?
#26
Who do you contact if there is a problem with TV or you need to return it - is it the ebuyer or the ebay seller?

Which postal service did you use & how did you know that this postal service would not be sending your TV in a plane luggage hold?

Seems decent

Yes its a very simple process and can be found online typing in the tv code and Divx unlock. However you need a specific universal remote; Samsung I think it is and they retail at around £14.
#30
What's return policy?
I know they accept Returns(It says) but who pay the P&P in case need to return

If it's packed well, it will arrive intact.
As for it being cost effective, it depends wheher you get stopped in customs with it.

IT's quite easy, just program to the LG tv code, then hit the dvd button on the universal remote (apparently different on some remotes) then enter the factory password, 0413, then change option 2 (divx) to number 1..... Done

I have a oneforall remote all ready programmed to mine if anyone wants to borrow it and cover postage.

Don't forget topcashback, think there would be roughly £6.40 available on this purchase, etc.

can anyone confirm if the DVB-T tuner is MPEG4 ?

- needs to be MPEG4 to cope with the new Republic of Ireland about to launch freeview digital TV service
