Great price and great tv, bought it yesterday after being unimpressed with the Toshiba 32KV500. I'd personally spend the extra £3 at Amazon for it just for the after sales support!

You can use a hack to get the service menu and enable divx, but I don't think it plays MKV or any HD format

i own the 42'' model and YES it does play MKV and HD formats after the hack. it just doesnt support DTS audio. im guessing this applies to the 32'' model as well

Hey OP,

Great find, have some heat. Bought the LG 42LD450 for my parents in February and can confirm it is a great hdtv indeed!!

Also thanks to pppppulll and sboh247, I called A J Electronics, it is in stock at their store and they will honour the £233.40 (with the online voucher), I even asked them to check the product code on the box to determine if it has the S-IPS or VA/TN panel, as I am after the former, which it is, so really chuffed indeed. Going to collect it after work, so wish me luck all of you.

Cheers ;)

Did you downgrade the firmware or use the remote/IR hack? From what I've read you cant downgrade the firmware on the 32LD450, I used the IR hack with my harmony remote, but it won't play MKV or any high res videos in any format I've tried...

Awesome, it turned out to be my USB stick not the videos, just tried another 16gb sandisk with an MKV and AVI and both worked! *happy*

Has anyone who has this tv noticed their tuner screwing up for a little bit after switching on an xbox 360/ps3 that's connected to it via hdmi?
wondering if it's a common fault or with just my tv... (ordered it from ebuyer's ebay a month or two back)

Other people suggested my previously mentioned problem with this TV was probably down to cheap HDMI cables allowing interference in. Wonder if it could be the same in your case?

My problem wasnt great enough for me to bother switching cables though, so i can't confirm/deny.

Thanks for your reply
It's a possibility the first one flashed rapidly when connected to hdmi1 and was unuseable but fine on hdmi 2. The second machine using the same cable intermittantly flashing black and loses audio around every 10 - 20 minutes for a split second. I'll investigate a bit further before sending this one back.
Thanks
