This tv is £299.99 at Argos, either pick it up in store or an extra £5.95 delivered. Strange pricing with Argos as the 32ld450 without Freeview HD and is £399.99.

Good price for a brilliantly specced 32", plus free delivery from ebuyer, who I find are a good company to deal with. Voted HOT
#3
Maybe a little short on inputs (only 1 scart and 3 hdmi) - but a good price for a decent TV. :)
#4
Great deal....just bought!!!

"The HD playback feature also lets you connect your mp3 player or flash memory to watch and share your photos, music and videos! "

Confused:
The usb2 appears to be only a service port and I don't see an sd slot, so how do you connect the HD sources?

I have been researching this particular tv and the service port is on the back and the USB port is on the side of the tv!

What's the 'service port'?

Argos also have the 32LD690 (100Hz) for an extra £20 but looks like stock is scarce.
#11
Is this as good as Samsung for playing videos from the USB port?
For example can it play mkv files?
#12
Just reserved that LG 32LD690 1080p 100Hz with Freeview HD at that price that is one scolding hot deal!!!

You should have put this deal up on its own I only checked yesterday and it was £400 with £100 quid off and now its £180 quid off...Superb stuff

Stock of this is now very limited as its selling out fast was 3 near me when I reserved mine, just checked and they are all gone from the 8 stores around me and none left for delivery either!
#13
Yeah, I've reserved one of the 32LD690's too. It's around £400 everywhere else (£500 RRP).

Just wondering whether to get some of those powerline adpaters for an internet connection. Apparently iplayer is available on Netcast now.
#14
Great price nearly ordered from Ebuyer but just got one from Dixons online for £287.84+free delivery using Dixon5 code(expires 3rd Feb), also 4% quidco with that, excellent.

It looks like this model will play MKV/AVI etc. without the need for the USB hack.

The USB port can be used to play back photos, videos or music via memory sticks or hard drives. It supports a broad range of formats, including the popular MKV.

That's probably due to it not having a DTS decoder. Try converting the files to AC3: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PopCorn_MKV_AudioConverter

Is MKV supported over a network or just USB?

who uses scart now days

Are you saying you're obsolete? Don't worry I'm sure there's some life in you yet ;)

A lot of folks (like me) have been hanging on to old kit waiting for digital switch-over (or for it to break) - so I have an old sat box, Phillips surroundsound-DVD and pioneer HDD-DVD-VHS (yes I know - VHS! who uses that?).

2 x RGB scart on my Sony are fine for that and as I upgrade kit I'll be using at least 3 of the 4 HDMI ports...

As I commented in my first post this is a good deal; I just highlighted the single scart input to folks who like me need more.
