Hotel model?

Seems like a good deal, had my lg 32" for 4 years until it was nicked last month. Might get this and then move to bedroom when something bigger and better is on offer.

Just noticed it has USB so presume you can watch hd divx from the stick?

It is the hotel and the sound is very tinny.

No, it's for firmware upgrades only.

One in link below does (divx/xvid, divx hd etc) extra £40 though on this one:

Must be quite an old model as Ebuyer seem to be about the only place selling it.

Yeah, I bought this model off some guy in a pub, Don't suppose I could have your remote (_;)

It appears to be a version of the 32LH3000 which I think was last years 32LD350.

Don't spout rubbish. It' a version of the LH3000, which plays MP3's and JPEG's by default, and MKV's/DivX/Xvid with a little tinkering (no DTS downsampling though).

The Wiki has been deleted, but still sort of usable via Google cache -
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:lgusb.wikispaces.com
(don't click on any links, just scroll down the page)

Or the AV forums thread -
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1206458

EDIT: Actually, looking around for details, one of the differences between this and the LH3000 is that they may have enabled video playback via USB by default.
May be worth checking out if you buy the TV.

Any idea if this is good for gaming.

Looking for a decent TV around 32" primarily for XBox 360, can't seem to keep up with all the deals going around just now but all are slightly out of budget as am hoping to spend around £250.

Couple of questions: at 32" do I really benefit from 1080HD and is there a noticeable difference between 50 and 100hz to justify the extra expense.

I realise I wont be getting the best TV for £250 but I don't want to throw away my money on a pile of poo!

Any Ideas?

Yet you went on to show that you need to hack it to get the TV to show such files....seriously, some people are just dumb by default!

Actually, you stated that the USB port for was for firmware upgrades ONLY. So you were, in fact, spouting rubbish.
And as my edit read, LG may have enabled video playback by default, so the hack may not even be necessary.

You stand corrected (and looking a little stupid for calling me dumb, perhaps you should go back to school and learn how to read).

Oh, by the way, just looking at your profile (nice post count for over 3 years as a member here by the way), I noticed this little gem -

Don't open your mouth and speak, it only confirms your stupid.

Just to confuse you (and me!) I play with my monitor that is 60Hz and yet a few days ago I found a menu on the monitor for "response time" with 3 settings. So maybe there is more to this than looking at the straight Hz value.

Actually, I was quoting the the specs from the ebuyer page:

Other Features

* HD DivX
* USB (2.0) Only SVC
* RoHS
* Auto off/auto sleep
* Instillation menu
* Front LED Clock
* RS232C
* External speaker out

You stand corrected (and looking a little stupid for calling me dumb, perhaps you should go back to school and learn how to read).

I can and did read, if the spec sheet is wrong how can that be my 'fault?...

You missed the fact it says HD DivX?
Admittedly it doesn't mention MP3's or JPEG's, but a spec sheet on ebay isn't something anyone should use for facts.

"..... need to hack it to get the TV to show such files....seriously, some people are just dumb by default"
Why ? I just got an lg tv and am going to make it able to play mkvs by changing a setting in the service menu. Please enlighten me.

I don't think they are all the same. I couldn't understand most of the stuff on AVForums but when trying to see if I could get USB avi playback (I know not mkvs) one line of LG's had had this ability but a firmware update had killed it and people needed to get back to earlier firmwares. There was talk of using mobile phones and IR senders and other stuff ...I just gave up! oO

Just my 2p worth and not chosing sides.

Actually, MKV's are also playable, at 1080p too. The only thing they can't do is downsample DTS audio, but that's easy enough to fix on a PC anyway.

I was lucky enough to get an 42LH4000 on release day, so still had the old firmware on which made it so simple to do.

Is there a remote with this? I can't see one on the ebay listing, but I note it does have an 'Instillation (sic) menu' ha ha, perhaps you have to persuade it to do what you want!
