For the latest in flat screen HDTV technology, check out the LG 37LH2000.

This HD Ready 37 inch LCD TV is the perfect partner to the explosion of new HD products out there. From HDTV to games consoles, the LG 37LH2000 is the ideal match. The new Twin XD Engine offers faster, more accurate picture processing than ever before with some stunning results to show for it. Match a screen response time of just 5ms with a brightness of 500cd/m2 and excellent dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and it's clear to see that this is a TV that's anything but average. In short, whatever you're watching will be crisp and detailed with superb resolution and the ideal brightness.

As usual, we would always recommend using a separate home cinema system but if you're intent on using the LG's built-in sound system you might be pleasantly surprised. Using an invisible speaker system with Clear Voice II the 37LH2000 sounds crisp and precise. Furthermore, the SRS TruSurround system creates a spacious sound that avoids the typical TV boxiness.

In terms of connections, the 37LH2000 has everything you'd expect. A rear-mounted HDMI combines with one on the side to allow for the connection of 2 High Definition sources, such as an HD-TV box and games console. In addition to this, the 37LH2000 boasts twin SCART sockets and component connections for your analogue sources. Furthermore, the PC input makes this attractive TV the perfect complement to your home computer. Topping off the wide range of sockets is a digital optical sound output - ideal for connecting this LG 37 inch LCD TV to your home cinema for a useful upgrade in sound quality.

Featuring a gloss black surround and elegant stand, the 37LH2000 matches the style that more expensive LG TVs have recently been famed for. Thanks to the latest technology, it's also Energy Saving Recommended. For a 37 inch HD Ready LCD TV with an impressive spec and smooth, good looks, the 37LH2000 is hard to beat.

One per store max ? Then they hard sell you a different product for more money with addons ? Well thats what happened the last couple of times I went for one of these offers...
#7
really - ive always thought RS were pretty good.

just seen this, very tempted to go down
#8
showing £329.95 ?
#9
I've always found RS to be spot on! No harm in making a phone call to check stock/reserve before making your journey!

Anyway, personally I'd rather spend the extra £100 to get freesat built in and 1080p (provided you'll use freesat, of course)

The only time I've tried to buy a tv on offer at Richer Sounds they were out of stock but they were quite happy to reserve me one for when new stock came in. I was on a list of about 20 and we all got one. This is the Norwich store. I recently rang up to ask about a small tv for my mum and they were again very helpful, telling me the cheapest models and then the prices of the more expensive models along with why they were better.

I have been buying tvs from RS for the last 6 years and always had excellent service,

Bought a 42" Philips for £499 5 years ago, Still works great.
Bought a 32" Samsung for my parents 2 years ago, for £299, well happy,
Bought another 32" for the bedroom last year for £329 inc 5 year warranty,
Bought a 19" Sony for the Kitchen 3 Years ago and is fantastic for £149.
Sent many friends / family there and all have been very happy,

Can't praise the Glasgow branch enough for their honest service.

How many more times people ?

You CANNOT get 1080p on ANY TV Channel - the most you can hope to get is 1080i

Blu-ray disc on a Blu-ray player - Yes

ANY TV channel through a HD telly - NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hope this helps.

Maybe Gee has a Blu ray player  What GeeJay said is true, £100 quid more gets you a 1080p TV with Freesat, which is also a good deal. Think most people know that hd tv runs at 1080i, the TV is still 1080p though regardless of what HD TV is.

So although what you say is true I just dont get ya hey :-D

Hi all,

I saw the unfair comments posted above and felt I had to reply.

The LG 37LG2000 is one of our fantastic sale deals for this bank holiday weekend and will be available at this special price on Saturday, Sunday and Monday only!

I’m pleased to confirm all of our 49 stores will have stock when they open at 10am on Saturday morning. Of course, at these prices stock is likely to sell fast so we’d recommend getting there early!

Many thanks,

John Clayton

49 in stock then ;-)
And most comments are from people who have seen something advertised, and then find that even if they have stock, the store says that theirs is more expensive and the one advertised must have been a display model somewhere.

Twice I have tried, once visiting a store, without checking first, the item I was after was advertised as £89, BUT the one they had in stock was £129 and said the one that was £89 somewhere must have been a damaged item. Second time I phoned first and same old story their item was 40% more.
SO have never bothered again.

mate, even if they only have 49 in stock, that's 49 tvs for sale at a great price. at that price its 49 more than any other company in the UK has in stock ! :-D

only on websites like this do you get folk that are so ungrateful for a sale.

most sales are loss leaders (look it up). no company is going to just sell all their stock for dirt cheap in a sale ya trumpet :-D

Fair enough John, but while i think your generally a great company, you are famous for never having stock with a lot of your super deals :whistling:

There will be one per store max then they hard sell you a different inferior product for more money with addons. Thats how they operate.

Nonsense - I asked about speakers at one store and was never tried it on with but was recommended other speakers at the time.

If it's cheaper elsewhere, they'll match/beat the price if you show them proof online. Advertised deals are always recommended (as per their website) with the stipulation that you call ahead to not be disappointed.

I bought a Sony amplifier, the Q Acoustics 1010i speakers and other bits that were advertised, I just called ahead. The one time I didn't they ordered them in (no deposit or anything required) and I picked them up later on in the week. They have stock, just ring your local store to make sure.

yea? then please comment on my previous post in relation to this offer that your website said it still had available only for it not to be the case when i attended the store as the first customer of the day at your Prestwich branch.
the guy on the counter knew they had sold out and didnt even need to check his inventory.

If i'm after getting this tv is my best bet to call them at 10am on saturday and reserve it? Is that even possible? Any advice from people who've previously gone for a deal like this would be much appreciated.

John, thanks for being brave enough to face us ! :)

i think its a fantastic deal and i will be at the southampton store for 10am! i called today and was told they have some in the store and its a first come first served. I hope they will honour that and if im one of the first through the door i will get my grubby mitts on one.
#34
Anybody managed to get TV?
#35
Got one.

I went in this morning, got there about 10.10 a.m, I saw someone leaving the store with one of these and thought I might have missed it and there were already about 10 people in the store (Birmingham city centre) when I walked in. They didn't have one on display but I asked and they got one out of the back.

Took the 5 year extended warranty for extra £30. I haven't had a chance to open it up yet but very happy that I managaged to get one. I overheard someone trying to reserve one over the phone -but they wouldn't.

I will be mainly using it for gaming (xbox) and I understand the 5ms response time should be fine for that.

Thanks OP, heated and repped.
#36
Got one this morning aswell at 10am. My Norwich store had 10 in stock.
#37
Got to the Glasgow store at 9.35 this morning and was fourth in the queue. Some of the staff came out with tea and coffees for us waiting which was a nice touch! The three folk in front of me all bought one, and I thought i'd had it, but they seemed to have loads in stock - I probably saw at least 10 in various stages of purchase - the runner was being run off his feet!
#38
just to add, i was at Leicester at 950, 3 peeps in front of me all after this 37". in at 1001 and all 3 got theirs. i was there for the 32" sammy at 249, got that no problem.
i think its a bit sad that people were venting at the guy from richer sounds who came on here yesterday, all i can say is it was as promised at the branch i was at (and seemingly others too).

whoever called the guy a liar that was not only pretty poor form, it was also untrue.

thumbs up richer sounds, my first but definitely not last purchase from your store.

chris.

Just got one of these in Currys in Clydebank, told them about this deal at Richers and they matched the price. It took 5 minutes to set up and i'm delighted with the picture and the price.
Currys have it on the shelf at £400 so to get it for £300 is a great deal.

I have to stand up in Richer Sounds defence.

Like others on here I have bought all my equipment from Richer Sounds for the last 3 years, a total of 7 TV's, a surround sound system and 2 dvd players.

I also recommend Richer sounds to all my friends who in turn agree and comment on me making such a good recommendation.

I bought a 37LH2000 for my mothers birthday from Cardiff branch this morning at 10.45am at which time 3 other people in the store bought the same set and the gentleman behind the counter said they had 9 in stock.

I have got it home and changed the service menu to play HD DivX through the USB and am extremely happy with the set. ( Please don't remember this bit John if i need to use my warranty :) )

Anyhow overall I am very happy with Richer Sounds and will continue using them until they disappoint me.
