know its a clearance and stock is limited, but did a search in north west and stock is still available in some stores, resrved and collected mine today, fantastic player, think can be made dvd multi region, links to youtube via ethernet and plays most avi's etc from usb, quidco also tracked straight away, so a bit extra saved

cheapest next available as far as i can see is amazon at £99.99

free £10 bluray voucher in box for lovefilm and free 30 day trial, which showed as gone past expiry date but offer still on lovefilm site

if you want one hope you find the stock local to you

Reserved one at my local currys for pickup tomorrow Also Chester are showing stock at time of posting ;-)

Very tempting.
#12
They are the same price in pcworld, I have just ordered one from there, so its worth checking them out too.

i reserved this last wk but then the store didn't have any :(
ended up buying the 565 instead which plays anything i chuck at it from my hard drive, it was 149 but worth the extra as the 370 won't play files above 4gb ;)

This review isn't very positive except for loading times.

I assume its not 3D upgradable but does appear to offer divx playback. Is that just sd divx or will it play hd divx too?

Take no notice to WHF , bunch of idiots on that site . I know of 3 people with this machine , it is superb , that is why I went for the Amazon deal .

Lots of other positive reviews of it , a bargain if you can get one .

Went to collect my reserved one today only to be told they didn't have any apart from the one on the shelf-bummer!

really pleased with this, youtube very good, updated firmware via ethernet as opposed to disc or usb method, think this latest firmware prevents dvd multi region playback but not too concerned about this at present, if wanting to go multi region then can roll back if needed using usb/disc method

terminator salvation would not play initially but all my blurays play fine following update of firmware, picture quality at 1080i very very good, not tried 720p, my tv does not do 1080p, dvd upscaling very good

still to try playback of film from usb

all in all would highly recommend this player, looks as good as it plays

wondering if, maybe asking a lot, subequent upgrades, if any, will enable iplayer playback?

I've had this machine since I chose it for an xmas present off the wife
I did a lot of research before I decided on this model - and it's fantastic.

Quick load time, quick firmware updates when required, youtube has also come in hand on the odd occasion.

upscaled is fantastic and very noticeable and 1080p is what you would expect

I've not used the usb function simply because it's been of no use for me.

Avoid Currys at all cost. They put returned/faulty goods back into stock. I wasted a lot of time and petrol because of these jokers last week.

what a nightmare, reserved one locally store rang to say they didnt have one, reserved another 20 miles away, got halfway there, store phoned to say they didnt hve any, rang customer services who reserved another, asked customer services to call ahead to make sure they had one, she said give me 5 minutes, she never phoned back, had call from store of third reservation, nice bloke in stores, customer services hadnt phoned him, and guess what, 2 instock, both on display, BOTH NO REMOTE... I had done 70 miles by now. rang cust services, "X store is showing 3 instock, ill reserve one and put you though", he reserved one, and cut me off, store phones 20 minutes later, nope, we havent got any... gave up and went home having driven for 4 hours doing 100+ miles.

Reserved EVERY unit within a 40 mile radius from PC world & currys... 12 in all

Only 1 store called me today to say they had a shelf one with the remote, immaculate... I was there in an hour...

Brilliant machine, love it, BUT DONT BELIEVE A WORD CUSTOMER SERVICES OR THE RESERVE SYSTEM TELLS YOU... MAKE SURE YOU CALL THE STORE OR RESERVE EVERY ONE YOU CAN AND WAIT FOR THE STORE TO RING YOU BACK AND SAY THEY HAVE IT. DSG CUSTOMER SERVICES IS A JOKE, STAFF DONT GIVE A STUFF.

I thought i'd have a look on the off chance, and they are now reduced to 49.97! I picked up a display one, but boxed with all the bits, they had another one left on display (PC World bexhill store)- fantastic bargain - was going to wait until general prices came down - but you cant beat under £50 - thanks!
