This 37" LG LCD tv is £499.99 on the Currys website. The instore price is £699.99 so its a good saving. Reserve for store pick up or get free delivery in supported areas. There seem to be currys codes out there but none seem to work so maybe some one can help me out?

Dont forget quidco which makes this £482.49 which is a good price for a 37" LG LC HD ready tv.

Out Of Stock for Home delivery

Available In Store only at same price for my postcode
#6
Yeah no home delivery for either but the option is there so it may work for some

but its still 499.99 for in store collection compared to their 699 instore price

Says the discount code is for home delivery. I've tried lots of post codes and all say store pick up only. Looks unlikely anyone will be able to use it. Still a good price though. Next best is around £550

This is the same as the LG 37LC55 in case anyone is looking for reviews or to compare prices.

Same here ive tried loads of post codes and they store pick up only. If you pick up instore but order online will the quidco work?

Im guessing not?

EDIT: Just saw the post above

Ah well, its still cheaper than elsewhere i suppose

Are you sure they are the same tv?

one of the specs in the review is different to that on the website

ie
review brightness 500, currys 450 not massive but different
#13
The difference between Currys/Dixons/PC World online and their instore prices is disgusting. I'd like to know how they get away with it and don't have the OFT knocking on their door.

it all comes down to expensenses and over heads , staff , shop premises and so on , but it does kinda baffle yeah when you can order on line and then go straight to the store and pick up and save £200.

Many of the websites get their specifications incorrect but it says the following on the LCD prices website
"Dixons sell the 37LC46 model, which is the same TV as the 37LC55, just an exclusive model number to Pixmania, Dixons & Currys (all part of the DSG Group). The minor difference is that the cabinet is completely black on 55 model."

I had LG32. Sky remote wont work on this TV. Will sky or Virgin Media remote work on LG37 TVs?

useful info, so it seems that from the review the tv is quite good. It says that the tv is quite good value for money at 600 pounds so getting it at 500 pounds must be well worth it

The LG TV's will work with a SKY HD remote. The HD remote also works on the standard SKY + Box. Just order yourself an HD remote, and it will all work.

please check the price has gone upto £569.

Nope im wrong sorry!! Just making sure get ordering and not thinking!!

I found this better than the last LG lc2D or something like so model. this has better Colour more vibrancy maybe too much.
It cannot beat the sammy with its contrast colours, simply kills you. BUT great

THE SOUND ON THIS IS AWESOME LOUD have not tested the base but damn it beats samsung hands down as that worst lcd in terms for sound unless you use external speakers.

phewww luckly i reserved 1 lastnight and printed it out. its states at bottom:

"Items are reserved until the close of the business on the next trading day..."

"The price you pay is the price shown on this website, even if it is cheaper then the usual instore price"

does this mean they should still honour it as i have reserved it for the end of today??? :?

:) Just got off the phone to currys...after a few mins of blah blah and the usual, they actually said if i have the document stating price, item, and reserved for today then they will honour it even if changed on the net

i managed to get my Lcd, all set up and on downstairs in living room...very pleased with purchase. I actually spoke to a manager at a local branch to where reserved and asked if can pick from here but was told it was a mistake and had to be from where reserved on net, they did honour price :-D

ps. my cousins 10% helpped too...cant complain for £450!!!
