Plus 3% Quidco I believe.

I'm in the market for a new TV. Are we likely to get much better prices after Christmas?

You mean to say you've hooked up a Freesat box to it or it's built in?

This or the panasonic http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/294856/panasonic-th42px80b-42-widescreen-h/
I know this LG has much better specs, but the panasonic has a real nice picture, and its 42" which is more of the size i was thinking of.
Both hot deals. :thumbsup::)

try 1080p with a blue ray on the lg then try it on the 720p panny , I aint gonna say no more the lg is future proof with full hd the panny aint although panasonic make one of the best tvs in the market you would be more than happy with the lg but its personal choice I guess .

Excellent price for a full hd tv - voted hot.

Will just say, Ive bought a samsung 37" 720p for the same price from JL (but with 5year warranty) and when watching tv through SD its not a crisp image due to the upscaling. This being said, if your mainly watching SD I would suggest you get a demo in another store that is selling it to see how it handles the pictures. Sky HD and blu-ray will look amazing but if your just watching SD it may be better to opting for a 720p set for the time being - I'm glad I did.

Whats' JL'? Do you have a link to the Samsung 37" ? Ta:santa:

These 6000 series LGs are up there with the best - these are the Scarlet range I believe so they have the red back. An absolute steal at sub-£500

Looks like a very good price, however I cannot see any reviews or product descriptions that say this is 100Hz. I would have thought that if it was then it would be all over the descriptions. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Edit - Infact at Tescos Direct the description clearly states 50Hz http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-5462.aspx

Yes JL is john lewis - 5year warranty as standard on all their TV's. For me its worth it and they do price match instore prices upto a month after purchasing the TV. The tv i got is

http://www.johnlewis.com/230476541/Product.aspx

but there is a 42" toshiba 1080p for £60 more there (deal posted recently). Excellent customer service if you ever have a problem
#37
Sooo sooo tempted...likely to drop in jan sales?
#38
Bought it! Hope it's as good as the reviews say it is! Thanks yaboy!

Incidentally, LG say that this (37") model is 50hz, but the next size up (42" version) is 100hz. Even so, some websites seem to be describing this one as 100hz too.

Still, I read somewhere that for SkyHD, 50hz is better anyway. Anyone know if that's true?
#39
I just got one of these from richer sounds for £500 saving the £60+ postage from crazy deals - not a bad deal eh ?
banned#40
I was in richer sounds last weekend and this TV had the best picture quality of all the TV's in the shop, but the sound quality is a real let down it sounded so tepid and has issues when adding additional speaker systems to it. When it is on full volume it is as loud as a Sony bravia on 40% volume.

It's a real shame other wise this would be one of the best TV's on the market.
