Bought this in Gateshead Metrocentre yesterday. I think it's a great price for a very decent TV (although I'm ready to be told differently lol)

Available online to collect in store. Gateshead had 2 yesterday and I bought one of those. Also got an XBox 360 Arcade for £80 when buying the TV.

You also get £10 cash back for every goal scored by England in the World Cup!

Sporting LG's frameless design, the stunning LG 42SL9500 42" Full HD LED TV delivers unbelievable High Definition cinematic quality into the heart of your home.

The LG 42SL9500 42" Full HD LED TV boasts a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution with a mightily impressive 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio to deliver vivid, deep and incredibly detailed images. This is further enhanced by the 42SL9500M's 100Hz TruMotion technology to eliminate blurring and keep the action as fast paced as possible. An intelligent sensor also optimises the picture to protect against eyestrain and importantly to reduce power consumption. Its sound is consummately taken care of by two 10W speakers and a SRS Trussuround System.

For complete connectivity the 42SL9500 42" Full HD LED TV is equipped with Bluetooth technology - allowing you to view photographs, listen to music and generally better enjoy your favourite multimedia files from other devices. There are also 4 HDMI ports for trouble free connection to HD sources.

The LG 42SL9500 42" Full HD LED TV boasts an ultra thin design and can be hung upon the wall like a picture frame!

Certainly a better cashback offer than those offering something if they win it, since we know that is very unlikely, whereas with this deal you've got to be looking at £50 off, maybe even more. Pretty risky offer acutally, because they could easily put a heavy number past Algeria alone.

hi geordie! thanks for the local offer!
#3
You're welcome mmmkbb, it's also nationwide aswell!!
#4
Excludes Northern Ireland . What does this mean people from NI are not eligble for this offer ???

Am I correct in assuming that as it is in store you cannot use your voucher code and no quidco- only the tenner/goals discount available.
#12
penalties isnt included either but seeing as we cant score them anyway thats not really a problem
#13
Wish I had £700 spare :p

None available around Manchester,London,Birmingham,Leeds,Stoke-on-trent...so cold from me
#15
rooneys the only good striker we got though =(
still good for a 42" 1080 LED.

whats better ?

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/687873/panasonic-tx-p42s21b-tv-blu-ray-pla?

Edit: I think panasonic because its 60 cheaper and you get a free bluray player and photo frame worth 200 on its own. england would have to score 6 just to match that price and you still wouldnt have a bluray player and the photo frame.

its very hot though. ive just picked up the panasonic but all the free stuff won me over. over this'led'

but its still excellent deal voted hot

I saw them displayed at Currys even though there was no stock showing when I looked on the internet. May be store specific and I don't think Currys website is capable of finding upto the minute stock levels for all stores.

Fine point out the stock levels BUT why vote cold? Surely correct thing is not to vote. This isn't a deal site for YOU! How does voting cold help people in the rest of the country.

if your'e talking about lg voting this tv the best, they would because theyre being biased, ive read a review and they did say that the blacks arent as good as some of the top end lcds so this wont touch a panasonic in those terms. Also the picture quality is said to have a cartoony feel which isnt the greatest. All comes down to personal preference but the pansonics cheaper, has freeview hd a better refresh rate and comes with 200 quids worth of free stuff. not to mention 20 quidco as well which you cant do on this.

all comes down to personal preference what tv's we like but i think the other is a better deal. plus currys prices are extremely inflated. so i wouldnt think of it as a huge saving

Now i know why your a little touchy! you bought the panasonic tx42sl21 its a very nice tv i was going to have one my self but the LG has a better hd picture than the tx-p42sl21 and they are a little heavy on the electric compared to the led's im wall mounting my tv thats another reason im going for the lg led very thin panel indeed the plasma a little to bulky for what i want.

I didn't say he wasn't entitled to an opinion fella he told me that i was beliving what i had read about in an LG review and thats not what i said so there for he was "wrong" go back and read all the posts me and him made and its there for you to see. Im also the one that kept it cool and didn't get involved in his little game of tit for tat.

Unfortunately, after doing my homework and ringing everywhere for this TV, it does not seem available anywhere?
When i rang them they said they could try to source me a EX display model for the same price, which i declined:p.
I suppose this offer should now be Expired?

P.S. I'm always missing out on these good TV offers:roll:.

It is available so not to expire just yet. I just reserved one in my local Taunton store, although I've already ordered the Panasonic TX-P50U10B http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/682803/panasonic-viera-tx-p50u10b-50-full-?page=5 so confused now which to go for:?

Yep, that's exactly what it means, typical for us being left out as usual.
