A good TV in my opinion. I know it does not have smart features or a freeview HD tuner but for me people like me whose sole purpose is to plug in a games console or PC it is ideal.

If you're near to a Richer Sounds might be worth the extra £20 there to get the 42LB550V (rather than listed LG 42LB5500) which seems to include a Freeview HD tuner (maybe other differences...) ?
Seems like a brilliant price to me. Hot.
TV and Xbox was £499 at Tesco before Xmas. Only a £20 saving on TV as it has been £299 since Nov.
Just bought from sainsburys Sevenoaks for £249...........x
model no?
Bought this as part of the 499 w/xboxone deal a while back; anyone know what you have to do re the warranty? There was nothing on my receipt, though I checked that the warranty applied back then too...
model no?

LG 42LB5500
usually with electrical goods the receipt is the warranty with tesco though im not sure about bigger items but thats the warranty for phones ect
Bought a couple of these at tesco few months back for £214 each - turned out to be a local misprice. Anyhow, very nice tv indeed but wonder if the 40" samsung smart tv would be a better bet which is usually available for £299 at various places every couple of weeks or so.
Not a great price unless you value the 5 year warranty I suppose. I got a 42in LG last year in Currys sales for this price, and it has Freeview HD built in and I'm sure there are better deals around now. Also, not keen on those types of stands as you have to put them on a suitably large tv cabinet, whereas the centre stands you can use a smaller cabinet and let it overhang a little.
Tesco have been great for warranty with me, I have had a hudl and an iron that wrong still under warranty. Rang them up and explained the problem and they arranged a refund and a replacement respectively
Not sure why this is a good deal. Old model and £20 discount.
Got 49" for £399 with AO.com just incase any1 wants this TV but bigger.
I bought this from tesco 499 deal as well. called LG to register tv and they confirmed 5 year guarantee le_jaeger

Cheap set, worth the money considering its another £100+ for a 47"+
49.4ms of input lag, not bad.
