Just seen a lot of posts for TVs at the mo, before you buy check the reviews of this out, they're pretty good even when reviewed @ the £1000 mark. Use Code 5SAVE for this price.

Enjoy :-)

Product Information

The LG 42LH5000 42 1080p LCD TV comes with four HDMI connectors, which are ideal for hooking up a range of HD sources for pure High Definition entertainment. Why not use them to connect your blu-ray player, game console or HD Camcorder for video and graphics of the highest quality?

When not using your HD devices, your LG 42LH5000 42 LCD TV still delivers you razor-sharp, detailed and vibrant images thanks to LGs Twin XD Engine, high contrast ratio and 1920 x 1080 picture resolution. To help bring out the best in your movies, this 42LH5000 42 1080p LCD TV also comes with the option of Sport, Cinema and Game AV modes, which automatically adjusts TV settings to optimise the picture quality. For a true Hollywood Movie experience you also have the option of 24p Real Cinema playback, which plays your movies as they were originally intended.

This 42 LCD TV also uses TruMotion 100Hz technology, which captures stills at 100 frames per second rather than the standard 50, making it an ideal TV for watching sports, action movies and wildlife programmes. It gives you an overall clearer, more fluid picture without a judder in sight.

To bring all of this entertainment to life, the LG 37LH5000 transfers SRS TruSurround XT through 2 powerful 2 Way 4 Speakers (10W x 10W) for a surround sound experience. The Clear Voice II feature automatically enhances any dialogue in a scene so it doesnt get lost in background noise.

This LG 42LH5000 42 1080p LCD TV also holds an eco-friendly Intelligent Sensor II feature, which significantly reduces energy consumption by analysing the ambient light in a room and adjusting your TV settings accordingly. This not only optimises picture quality but also helps to keep your energy bills to a minimum.

Thanks for posting. It is good practice to also add the merchant and price to the title. It helps people who are just browsing through. And in my experience your post will get a few more “hot” votes.

They are well worth taking a look at.
Kind regards Andy
I got an 42LH4000 in the summer for £685, which I thought was a bargain at the time.
This is a VERY good deal, seeing as it's a model up and cheaper than mine.

Is it worth it to pay extra 55 quid for 42LH5000?

Probably, it is a crackin' TV. The 200hz is pretty good, it's less than 10% extra, it's had good reviews from What Hifi and the 'bible' that is Which?.

Not really, I had the same dilemma when I wanted to get mine. The 200Hz doesn't make much difference, at least I didn't see any real difference.
