bought one 2 months ago and it's good BUT doesn't support latest versions of Adobe Flashplayer so unable to view catchup TV (ITV player and Ch 4). Special BBC iPlayer app so that's OK. If you want to watch videos off the net then look at other brands ( Samsung supports later versions of FlashPlayer I think) and only buy this as last resort.

Who is buying a tv on the basis that they must be able to watch catchup?!?

I care more about the size, image quality and build before I look at what apps are capable on the device.

But in buying this television over the 615T, you are paying extra for the Smart features. It's worth knowing whether the Smart features are actually any good.

That's all immaterial anyway - I wouldn't touch another LG if it came with a built in supercomputer - I've had three and sent them all back because of issues with the picture quality.

Patiently waiting for an irresistible 3d tv deal. Had eyed this up recently through Amazon and while it gets great reviews, I'm reluctantly going to try and wait for more lower priced sets, preferably amoled screens (yeah,right...).Hot from me, but I'll live in hope of an Amazon lightning deal.

I have what I think is a pretty awesome LG, a 50PK990 from late 2010 but it had a RRP of around £1700 and though it has BBC iplayer and Youtube, they never released he promised firmware upgrade to get Skype working on the TV.

Don't get me wrong, it is a truly ace TV with a great picture but instead of looking after customers who forked out top whack for a new TV, they shafted us and only put the new features into the new tvs.

We don't buy Tvs every year and we cannot chuck out thousands of pounds of kit because the ba5tards don't give us the upgrades we need.
