Been looking for a new TV and this seems to be a really good deal especially as it is 1080p but I await the comments from the experts.

Just bought one of these the other day from Richer Sounds for a few pounds more. Well pleased. Even better when I found the LG USB Hack using Google. Divx, MP4, flv enabled now!

I've had to threaten small claims court of Currys (where I bought it) didn't pay for the repair - Look into the Sale Of Goods Act 1979 (revised) and it states that if a product isn't fit for purpose (for a TV that's about 7 years) then the place you bought it are liable to fix the problem.

1st time they paid £399 for the repair by my local firm
2nd time they did the same
3rd time they wrote the product off and paid me £200 quid and upped it to £450 when I said that wasn#t enough to replace the set.

If it does fail make sure you make use of the Act... it's there for consumer protection.... it also means you don't need to take out any extended warranty as you are covered anyway!
