Total after cashback = £332.26

I've seen a few posts for this TV on Amazon but don't think any come out quite as cheap, but ya gotta be quick -
Going through Quidco before the 22nd and enter the code TV2 at checkout to receive an 11% discount + get the normal 15% quidco cashback.
Normal Price £448.99
Less 11% @ £49.38
Less 15% @ £67.35
Total = £332.26

Looks fairly decent to me for a 42" Full HD (No Freeview HD though) and if it had the internet features of other LG's / Sony's etc and i could fit it on my unit I may be tempted by one.

I've removed quidco from the quoted deal price as the price quoted should be the price that has to be paid to purchase the item before any retrospective cashback discounts, thanks again.

Just ordered for my mother, hope the quidco tracks. Wont the 15% quidco apply to the price after the 11% discount? making it 448.99 - 11% = 399.60 - 15% = 339.66

With quidco this MUST be a bargain!

Dunno 100% how they do it but as you say it stands a chance that the price passed back to quidco will be with the 11% taken off. But even with that extra £7 its very cheap for a 42".

Does this have built in freeview?

Does this have built in freeview?

The 4LG 42LD450 42” LCD TV comes with built in Freeview access, so all you need to do is plug it into your existing aerial to be able to experience the full range of free-to-air terrestrial digital channels.
Yes, Standard freeview though, Not HD.

From Quidco site:

* Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined.

* Cashback may only be paid on the basket value excluding VAT & delivery.

I didn't need to buy that at all...

The first point is redundant as the Code is one listed under
Best Buy voucher codes with cashback
meaning you will get both.
As for the excluding vat bit i mentioned this to someone on a post the other day and got shot down in flames saying they've never ever had that. I have on Butlins purchases but then it states this under the sellers quidco information, i can't find this on Best Buys page.

Just tried it and it worked fine. Did you definitely use it against the correct TV and using uppercase letters for the TV part of the code ??

I got this tv. Came yesterday. Sorry to drag up such an old thread. But for some this could be useful. Taken from AV Forums: the hack to get movies playing via USB using a oneforall remote...

OK .. Try this ..

TV needs to be turned on ..

1. Press and hold down the MAGIC key on the 8206
(for about 3 seconds) until the rabbit comes
out of the hat (the screen will change to the setup screen)

2. Press the DEV SET key

3. Press and release the TV key to select the device type you like
to setup.

4. Enter 0178 using the number keys. The animated IR Indicator
will blink twice.

5. Now, aim your 8206 at your TV and try the
following keys to test if its working ..

+ or - .. that should be channel up/down ..

6. If your device is responding You can ESC/ESC out of here.

Now we need to program an extra button to open the 'Service Menu'

1. Press and hold down the MAGIC key on the 8206
(for about 3 seconds) until the rabbit comes
out of the hat (the screen will change to the setup screen)

2. Press the KEYMAGIC key

3. Press and release the TV key again.

4. Press the MAGIC (Top Hat!) key once.

5. Enter 00018.

6. Press a key you want to use for this command ..
I used the 'Red' button on the bottom
The IR Indicator will blink twice and the screen will return
to the Setup screen. Press ESC to exit from here.

That's it! .. now press your programmed button and you should see a
pop-up on the TV asking for a password .. mine was 0413.

Now in the service menu go down to 'Tool Option3' ..
from here to 'Divx' and change the 0 to a 1 .. exit out of here
and you should be done.

You probably don't need to use the first part above (replacing the whole remote!)
but I find it handy sometimes.

Hope that helps!
