I have a mate that just bought this but never put the code in, do you think he could phone the next day and give an excuse as to why it didn't get deducted?

Maybe, if he said that he used the code and cant understand why it haasn't been deducted, I wouldn't say you've forgotten the code, as its unlikely they'll care.

Bought one today in Curries as my Samsung 32" looked crap in my new house.

Impressed so far, menu system and EPG is a lot quicker and prettier than the Samsung.

Haven't used it for gaming yet.

No freeview HD but think i can live without Newsnight in high definition
#17
yup they have a tv think its the LG 42LD690 42 thats got the HD Freeview and all the bits this had taken off like netcast

strange they takke that off the 550 but then put it on the 690
