Now there is a reason i've posted this, i've just been to my argos to collect this TV, and instead i recieved the 42LF7700

Which is a hell of a lot more expensive, with FREESAT HD built in, 3 HDMI inputs, USB, FULL HD, thats alot of stuff for £499.99.

Seems to be the way in a few stores i checked this morning to. Giving a 42LF7700

Cheapest place i could find this elsewhere was £599, and the next one up from that was £800.

Cracking TV for the cash!

Oh and forgot to say Argos are selling the tv i recived for £1099 ;)

So i'd make the most of this error

I bought this tv in January (42LF2500) and my wife and I are very happy with it - we like watching downloaded episodes of Grey's Anatomy on a usb stick. At the minute we don't have any HD sources connected by HDMI {although I have connected my pc through HDMI to play a few games and the picture was great) so only having 2 HDMI ports hasn't been a problem for us yet. Probably will upgrade to upscaling dvd or bluray when current all-in-one dvd cinema breaks.....

So basically I am saying that the 42LF2500 is still a very good model....

I posted this on my O2 joggler....another great buy from hotukdeals!

I agree,
But there currently giving you a much more expensive model the 42LF7700 with FREESAT built in ect. ;)

So your paying less, its got to be one of the cheapest FREESAT HD MODELS out there

Which Store Did U Buy From
#11
Well if you look on argos reviews it seems a few people have had it, also in 2 argos i went in to they had the LF7700 on display for this price advertised as LF2500, so i'm guessing its nationwide??
#12
I bought it from chester

#14
Just got one in Poole. Brilliant deal
#15
what is the cat No you ordered
#16
I just reserved the cat nr linked to the post.

Not as great as you think. Saving only £139. Argos have way overpriced at over 1k
#18
Surely this is a one off though & not nationwide ?

I cant see any freeview HD details either, just freesat ???
#19
£599 at Richer Sounds
#20
But if you ask me i'd rather save £100 quid then spend it ;)
#21
I can’t help wondering what would happen if you had a problem with the 42LF7700 FREESAT HD MODEL and you needed to return it or have it repaired. Your receipt will surely state that you bought a LG 42LF2500.
#22
Reserved this online yesterday afternoon (after seeing the orig post on here..Thank You!), then went to collect immediately! Got the LF7700 and the receipt shows "LG 42" LCD TV"...the item Number is listed as the original but also states "alternative maybe given"!
Very Happy!
Great TV, simple set up! (didn't help England's game tho'!!)

Did you get the 42LF7700 Model?

I think Argos have an view before you buy thing - you just ask to view it at customer services

Did you get the 42LF7700 Model?
#28
I did this offer on the 32" LG - I just phoned the local store and asked them to check the box to see what model it would be - when you order at till it says they will give you an alternative - so just check by phone first, very helpful and got freesat HD and freeview - very pleased with TV so far but not connected to dish yet.
Not getting freeview HD in my area til 2012 so good deal for me.
so def nationwide offer with LGs and Argos
#29
Now gone down to £469!!!!
#30

Didn't go for it in the end, however if it has Freeview HD I will be off to check now?
#34
Just collected mine from Basingstoke. Went as per the script. I had reserved and viewed one in Reading yesterday but it was a 42lf3000 - a 100 pounds more than what I had paid for but no freesat. Great Deal for the price.
#35
For those who have purchased the telly , what are your thoughts on it ?
#36
Store manager had it checked for me - LF7700 TV supplied with LF2500 catalogue code. Said it was end of catalogue & they automatically upgrade to next model available (if LF2500 out of stock). Collecting mine tomorrow - interest free credit over 12 months also available.
#37
It's £585 delivered here: http://www.electrical-shopping.com/lg-42lf7700

it's 469.99 now, this is by far the best 42" TV you are going to be able to get for under £500.

heat + rep
#39
changed price now to the new lower one ;)
#40
Just reserved one. Question.

If I actually get the 2500 model instead of the 7700 model, can I simply return the tv for a straight up refund?
