any1 know if i can cancel order and re order with this code.......
#4
ano i wonder if i can cancel , i have only got my first email from ordering yesterday
suspended#5
gazuk, phone up currys and cancel your order, you'll save alot of ££ with this deal.
#6
Well, I'm glad I waited to order....Although now I have no idea where I'm gonna put it! Think I might have to move house...
#7
Hmm only thing putting me off now is that review - avforums really didnt like the 24hz feature and if that feature is no good then this was overpriced.
#8
soooo tempting now - going to get hot in here :-D
#9
oh god! I placed an order this morning on dixons 42" LCD + Home Cinema + Glass Stand = £652.92 but now it has gone down to £619.00

So it is already £33 cheaper now.

can i place a new order, then call up tomorrow and cancel my other order? will it work?
suspended#10
shedloads, you have 14days under distance selling act to return the tv for full refund so you can definately get the refund. Phone them tomorrow to cancel your order. Order after 3pm at dixons as it MAY be reduced even more as there is a 3hr sale at dixons until 6pm today, possibly further reducing the price, cant guarantee it will be cheaper tho.

The review is decent, doesnt do 24fps movies i.e bluray too well, only the much more expensive tv's like toshiba 40zf, 42zv can do these properly, this tv will do everything else though. Cant expect much more for £500 tho to be fair. you need to pay £750+ to get a tv that will do everything properly.

But isnt this a £900+ TV ???? :whistling:
suspended#12
well yeah but LG tv's are way overpriced, 1 of the only well priced tv brands is toshiba. I meant from a pricing point of toshiba standards. Panasonic, sony, lg etc are all way overpriced compared to toshiba tv's.

Toshiba 42ZV555DB is your best bet if you want a tv that can do everything properly, cost you £800 from empiredirect though.

Hence my worry, Dixons have the KDL40V4000 Sony at £580 (£530 with that voucher) as this reviews better on the 24hz thing.

The more I read about this LG the harder I find it to believe that £1k was ever a realistic price for this item, maybe it was but it didnt sell? My point is that is one of the features on the tv isnt actually any good if the tv reviews are to be believed, hence the "deal" may not be what it seems. By all accounts Currys/Dixons have shedloads of these.
#14
Woo hoo! First post! I'm all excited.

Anyway, are you sure about free delivery as I seem to be getting charged £19.52?

Unless there is a voucher code for free delivery.

By the way, JK hajj_3.
suspended#15
Well this tv shouldnt be £1000 retail, £650-700 is what it should cost for it's spec. But £500 deal is still very nice.

@ jbonthmic, delivery is free for me, are you trying to choose a faster delivery than default or something? It should be free if you leave the 3-5days delivery or whatever is the default as it is.
#16
I can't change the delivery option.

It states that 'standard delivery' is £19.52 and gives me no other options.

Help?!
#17
Which is better for XBOX 360 gaming and watching Freeview?

LG 42LG7000 LCD TV
Panasonic TH42PX80B Plasma TV

Thanks
#18
Brilliant price! Doubt you will get better for £500...
#19
I can't seem to get it to take the delivery off either? Help?

Ill make my own new hotdeal thread with the new code and vote this deal cold too shall I ?!?! LOL :whistling:

EDIT: Although in fairness to you the original post was with Currys. So not a complete hijack i suppose ...
suspended#22
only made a new thread as the other was for currys and you cant change the url of the item if its from a different company on hotukdeals.

you should probably do your research before posting unhelpful comments like that.
#23
Thanks just ordered! Came to £592 with the discount and paying with my egg card! Thats the tv, surround sound and stand!
#24
Did you have to pay for delivery?

OUCH ... Maybe you should appreciate tongue in cheek humour and not take offense so easily. I already said it was technically for a different supplier, so i dont know where you get my apparent lack of 'research'. Anyway, I ordered the deal from your post (after already reserving from PCWorld and Currys yesterday) so im very grateful to you and H&R given none the less. :-D

My only issue is the way that you agressively said you would vote the OPs deal cold and link directly to your own thread. This just because you have found a voucher code in the daily mirror ... you could at least have given the OP some credit or mention for this deal.

Just ordered the TV on Dixons, and it look me onto a Confirmation page, and some Egg Timer kept on rotating, where a reference was supposed to be displayed.

I've gone into My Account and it says:

No Records found..

Anyone else have this issue? :?

The site is slower than an asthmatic ant carrying heavy shopping, but persevere as it will go through eventually.

Ordered with the stand, free delivery. Thanks OP and merry Christmas to you all! :santa:
