That is not the same TV, that is the Plasma version. The one on Dixons is the LCD version.

Here is a direct link: - http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0035235392.1201124699@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccfcadeddmkdleicflgceggdhhmdgmj.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=389559&category_oid=-28723

9 out of 10 from trusted reviews but it's not 1080p. They almost had me with the 1080p feed for bluray and hd dvd but it basiclly convets the signal to 1080i or 720p.

:?

Why can't they just give me everything I want now for nothing?

Is that too much to ask?

:p

I meant get a brand new q97 , which according to reviews is newer and better for £625

£700 is a bit steep for a second hand plasma dont you think?

Did a quick comparison and looks like may be able to get slightly cheaper elsewhere?

Is this the same TV though? Seems to be the same model but does not mention the integrated hard disk. Coming out at £699 for me including delivery (£657.49 exc. delivery)

http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products_moreinfo3/index.asp?product_id=13721

EDIT: Just spotted that it does mention the hard disk, so seems to be exactly the same. Also 2.5% Quidco I think, so looks to be the cheaper price (unless you happen to live in NI or shipping costs are higher to other parts of the UK)

Also cheaper base price here (£714.90 delivered) plus 3% Quidco, with the integrated hard disk referred to, although if there are £25 vouchers for Dixons knocking around then that will bring the Dixons price lower:

Hi, why using EGG card is cheaper? I thought by using a capitalone cashback or AMEX cashback card would be cheaper.

Egg card gives 3% instant cashback on the deal, with the others you have to wait a year for the cashback, so if you've got time to wait then u should use them instead:thumbsup:

how do you get quidco + 3% EGG?

there was something posted about going through egg first and copy and paste the url into browser when you go through the quidco link, but i think that the cashback is automatic when you use egg card for dixons purchases

Thanks for your reply. I'd found that the term & condition doesn't allow you to earn 3% cashback if you don't use the link. This mean you can either get 3% from quidco or 3% from egg. NOT BOTH! I extracted below from the term & condition.

"2. Unless otherwise stated, you will only be able to benefit from the instant cash back offers by placing your order via the links provided by Egg on Egg's website, or as accessible from the instant cash back offer emails we send you from time to time. Transactions with our selected online retailers which are completed via alternative links and URLs will not be eligible for the special cash back offers."

I've just returned this model’s little brother to Dixons.
I bought the LG 32LT75 before Christmas as I like the convenience of the built in PVR.

Previously I had a Samsung which had a PVR connected via scart, the integrated freeview tuner in the Samsung was as good as i've ever seen, and playing recordings from the PVR showed me how much affect a tuner can have on the picture. The PVR through the scart looked terrible, so I assumed a built in PVR would produce the same high quality picture that I saw using the integrated tuner.

Unfortunately the Samsung has set the bar so high on its freeview picture that I could not accept the poor quality of freeview picture on the LG. I never knew how much difference there would between integrated tuners.

As for the range and quality of inputs, the general build quality, ease of use and convenience I was impressed by the LG, if you have SKY or cable this will be ideal, but if you only have freeview please avoid this as you can get better picture quality elsewhere.

This disappointed me so much I returned my LG 32LT75 to Dixons 2 weeks ago (but have still not received my refund!!) i know don't currently have a TV and making my first post on it.
