Probably a price match of the Currys price.
Richer Sounds include 5yr warranty: http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/42ub820v/lg-42ub820v

Amazon unfortunately only one yer warranty:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-42UB820V-42-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B00MW1DY6W

Also same price at Curries :
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg-ultra-hd-4k-smart-tv-with-900hz-processing-499-currys-2098367?page=2

Its a 4k TV, not the greatest but a decent price. Plug it in, set it up, sit back and watch it.

Nothing wrong with Richer
Sounds but, if you read the
reviews you may not be
pleased with the TV. Also,
to get a better picture from
this size 4K TV you would
need to view within 3 or 4
feet.

Another 'expert' that doesn't have a 4k TV....

I would personally avoid lg. I know we all have different expectations of a TV but I had the 55" 4k 850v for a couple of weeks and the os was awful and froze repeatedly. After an hr or so you had to switch it all off unless you wanted to wait up to 30 seconds to change the channel/volume/source.

I spoke to lg direct and they admitted that they rushed to get the 4k sets out and they are selling like hot cakes because they are so much cheaper than Samsung and other main players.

I bit the bullet and went for the Samsung with richer sounds (thank god for finance!!) and am beyond impressed and think it's worth the extra money if you can afford it.

I went to buy this tv from curry pc world and compared it to the Sony 42w829 that's on offer with a sound bar for £509.

The Sony picture looked better from 3 feet which is only 1080p. There was considerable motion blur/judder around fast moving shapes on the LG which was playing the LG demo video, if it couldn't get that right then I'm not sure what normal telly would look like.

So I bought the Sony (won a which? 2014 award).. couldn't be more pleased.

Was looking at the 50 Inch version of this (LG 42UB820V), great price and HDMI 2.0, sadly though I read that the input lag was quite high when compared to the Sony so not great for gaming.

Having said that 42 inch 4K for less that £500! some great deals about for sure, think I'll add some heat but wait till the Sony comes down a bit.

I have this as a bedroom TV. I have had it for a month or more now and it is very good. Surprisingly, and against all hyperbole, 4k looks better than 1080p at distance. Go figure!

This is the same price as it is everywhere, even supermarkets.

I had this and was impressed. TV is great, has freesat and PVR (bring your own HDD). Loved the Smart TV and the 2 remotes.
Had to return it as my use case was a 4k monitor and couldn't get rid of slight colour fringing on text in 2180p mode (see earlier HUKD thread for examples). Loved it as a telly though.

I've just bought this TV and I think it is amazing. Only judder I had is when I was playing sky through my xbox one, but now that it's straight to the hdmi then I have no issue with the TV at all. I love it!

Toddy 2375, do you get any input lag with the Xbox one? I'm thinking of getting this tv but can't find many reviews at all?
#14
Yeah, I had sky through the xbox and yeah there is lag when watching TV through the xbone but there is also a workaround. If you set the display from 1080p to 720p or reverse, then when it asks if you want to keep those settings, say no and the xbox thinks you can't run on 60hz, so sets output to 50hz, unfortunately that means the games run at 50hz too.. Unless when you play the games you set the display back. Hope that helps

But if it is just the xbox without any tv input.. it is flawless, sports mode activated and fifa has no motion blur at all

Sainsburys have this also at the same price.
Just spotted it in store today
