For starters, a 47 inch tv this good for £600 is already a bargain... But to be able to watch Sky 3D with the cheapo cinema glasses you get (which is a far more immersive experience than active 3D) makes this a potential bargain of the century!!

For some reason though, this tv can apparently only play Sky in 3D and not any Blu-rays...

I think this is boiling hot but who knows...

Seen some people talk about it on forums, and they said the 3D is terrible.
Also no real reviews of this TV,

You can play 3D Blu-Rays on this with the Panasonic DMPBDT110 blu-ray player by setting it to output in SBS format.

I've just bought this TV and it's bloody brilliant, absolute bargain for £599. Could add an LG smart TV upgrader for £99 later to get all the smart TV stuff (youtube / iplayer / facebook / media streaming) if you wanted to (or use the Panasonic version in the blu-ray player if you buy that) :)

I was going to say - I found one negative review on avforums and even that guy has just bought a new one of the same to see if he has the same problem :p

Why does it not work with ps3?

*Please note that whilst this TV has the bonus of 3D viewing on SKY 3D set-top boxes, 3D viewing is not available with Blu-ray or games consoles such as the Sony PlayStation 3.

Seen the new LG 3D Cinema TV's in JL, and its amazing. Going to save my pennies for this

Cause PS3s are crap. :p

Joking aside, can the PS3 output in SBS?

more that the TV has 1.3 HDMI sockets, so the TV is unable to broadcast its 3D compatible to the PS3

Sorry cold from me as its old tech if it wont even work with the 3D on the PS3 save your money and go for one that will.

Best to spend a little bit more and buy the SUPERIOR Sony 46nx713
where 3D on the PS3 definitely works

No cost for glasses with this though...

Cold for me am afraid
Bit of a pointless tv if it only supports 3D through sky so rather limited and not really 3D if it doesn't support other devices

As zAndy1 said, this tv CAN play 3D blurays, but you need a specific bluray player. I have the LD950, which is basically the same as this TV but has full 3D capabilities. I would highly recommend either TV. Cheap 3D glasses, no crosstalk, great 2D picture, good blacks, I could go on!

"A little bit more", as in nearly double the price (if you don't have a trade in)!! :p

Meh, its average, as SBS is a highly un-used format which nothing really uses now, your limiting yourself quite a lot with this as its all going framepacked or over under.. to limited

Suerman999 has a point. £600 now and may have to replace in a years time. The quickest expanding medium for 3Some is games and film so as I dont have sky but have a ps3, it would be cheaper for me to buy a more expensive tv that works with the rest of my av setup.
Still hot for those who'll just use it with sky.

Was looking at this in store today, have to vote cold just on the 3D compatibility. Seems a little short sighted.

Edit - After looking at the spamming of tags on this deal I wish I could vote cold again

We bought this TV on the basis it was full 3D as sold to us by Best Buy back in 2011. Having tried numerous things (new HDMI cable,3D surround sound, different glasses) as it wouldn't work with 3D blu-rays, we were informed by an external company that it was Sky 3D only (no use for us as we don't have Sky).
This caused us endless inconvenience both physical and financial with a lack of customer care from the seller, but thats another story.
Other than the disappointment of not being able to use 3D, it has been a great TV and is recommended if it suits your needs. However we are now looking for a full 3D TV to get the real thing!!!
