I'm aware that some people have had problems with robertwhyteltd but this deal sounds almost too good to be true. Tell me what you guys think. The sky cashback starts on the 7th April. Price includes delivery. And includes the £200 cashback from sky.

Remember this is the new PASSIVE 2011 range. And I have had an LG in the past and the advantage of having one is that it played MKV files straight from a USB, so that is a bonus.

Key Features

* Cinema 3D TV
* Comfortable CINEMA 3D Glasses
* LED Plus
* TruMotion 100Hz
* Home Dashboard
* Freeview HD
* Intelligent Sensor
* HD-Ready 1080p

edit: just been to the link and it says'The offer is valid from 7 April - 7 June 2011 (claim forms will still be received until 7 July 2011). '

The Smart box built into this Tv looks like it will be brilliant with a plex update available in next few months, you will be able to buy the Smart TV Upgrader seperately as well and will work with any DLNA compliant device should be available in a fortnight with a projected price of £99 looks much better than Apple TV details here
#2
The Sky offer they mention is last years offer and therefore closed (sky.com/lgoffer).

I followed up with Sky and LG and none are prepared to discuss any specifics regarding cashback. I doubt the SKY LG offer is accurate (I have sent them an email asking for more details but not heard back yet).

Thats an LG official and he says there will be a Sky offer but to watch this space. This is the reason why I'm not too sure about Robert Whytes cashback value as its based on last year's offer. I'll be really happy if they do the same cashback this year as well :)

Who even knows when the offer starts, if we bought today might only be valid from purchases from the 7th onwards, suppose we will just need to wait and see

If you follow the link it says the date of 7th April. its upto £400 apparently, but only £200 off this 47", the bigger screens are probably £400.

Even if the sky offer doesnt come through, this is still £200 cheaper than dixons at the moment.

Anyway, keep the comments coming...

i got a great deal with robert whytes, my sony tv and sony surrond sound tv stand was easly £300 cheaper than the next cheapest and it came with a free 5 year warranty.

the only problem i had was they dont keep much stock so when you order certain things you have to wait for them to order from the suppliers , in my case, i ordered the tv and sound cabinet and had to wait 4 weeks for delivery, which was stupidly slow. i phoned them loads to try and get it sorted but they were not much help on the phone.

i do apreciate that the sony sound cabinet was a specialist product and wouldnt expect them to carry many in stock but 4 weeks after taking my money still seemed a VERY long time.

i also got no details of the 5 year warranty, the only proof my order came with a 5 year warranty is it is listed on my email invoice although there are no details of what it covers and if it is a replacement or repair or if i have to return it to them at my cost?

i did try and chase it up but after trying 5 or 6 times i just gave up.

so my experience of them is they do offer so me great deals from time to time, smashing others prices but you may not get it instantly if it is not something they have in their shop.

Comet has it for 1301.99 with code 7OFF of course no 5 year warranty & £100 more cant see it at Dixons at all

Have seen it cheaper than this with a 3 year warranty but will wait and see the sky offer T&C's

Read on AV forums that the 5 year warranty has loads of conditions to it, which can make it difficult to claim but cant be certain tho as never used them, and Im sure most warrantys will be like this also

Yep, thats the best thing about it really. As far as I know LG are the only brand at the moment who do these type of TVs.

sky.com/lgoffer

The Sky cashback has started today, up to £400 cashback. (don't forget that there are other voucher codes as well such as the 7% voucher code at comets 7OFF).

I like it, wasn't too sure if 3D will be good though but was impressed. Already had several people round to watch some 3D movies and all were happy and now some want to buy their own.

Need more 3D contents though, not enough out there.
