Also a 42 inch model for 859 with sky cashback, which Im very tempted to get. The good thing here is enough glasses for all the family and they dont cost a fortune.

Robert Whyte is £1024 with 5 year warranty if needed

I have ordered this item via John Lewis and I haver received email to confirm I will get price differece refunded upon delivery.

Managed to look at this in Comet today, you have to look dead in the centre of the screen for the 3d to work properly, also as with most thin screens the sound it pants, picture was good tho

Not gonna go for it?

There actually marketing it saying the 3d works from a wider angle as well, do you think its bad?

Im have everything plugged into my surround sound anyway as the samsung I have just now is so bad!

There was not much room in Comet to be honest and the sales lady was badgering me, will pop back in another day

Could i hook up a 2.1 through the headphones out socket, then the volume will be controlled by the remote control ?

Get mine on Saturday so Ill see if thats the case although Im sure that would work
#12
Still waiting for JL to get back with a price promise
#13
I done mine on a Friday night and they came back on the Monday morning. You been waiting a while then?
#14
Must be well over a week, did it online
#15
I'd do it again as I've heard its usually within a day, Ted1 seemed to get his email through quickly
#16
There out of stock at the moment at John Lewis, I received mine and it had a small chip on it! and with me being fussy Im going to wait for them to swap it out with another one! watched avatar and the chelsea game last night, no headaches ect 3d Is good when your at eye level and seems good from wide angles, it does go off if your looking at it from above and Im guessing it will be the same from below, Thinking I better get a tilting wall bracket as my tv is going to be slightly above eye level

Got my pricematch back and JL will do it for £1098, also got them to match the 42" for £855

How you finding SD material is it very good ?
#18
Maybe it's just me but I didn't rate the demo I got of the 42" at a sky booth in hounslow. I don't know if it was the lighting or the image but the 3d seemed a little blurry and low res.
#19
I think its pretty good on SD although some of the channels on Sky are better than others bit Im sure thats cause there low bitrate ones, HD material looks great to me , much better than my 4 year old samsung Lcd and Ive not made any adjustments to the standard picture setting, Ive got a price match back today for the 55" not sure If ill get that instead now depends how long there gonna be with my replacement!
#21
Cheaper here but John Lewis wont pricematch, Think Id rather have a 5 year Warranty for an extra £50 tho!

Im mounting mine tomorrow with a tilt bracket I bought from amazon so will let you know, Im sure it will work fine....well lets hope so!
#26
Ok ive mounted mine 4ft from the ground and its tilted the 3d is good but ive noticed while slouching on the sofa some things that are really close or really far have a slight double effect until i sit up a bit, probably adjusting the tilt a little would sort this, but my dodgy mesuring has left it and inch higher than my fireplace so Im probably gonna move it down as I don't like how it looks just now, had my other tv near enough flush
#27
Got another price promise approved, £1069 with free blu ray player & 5 year warranty, comes next week :)
#28
who'd you match with to get the free blu-ray?, i was told there different models when I tried urgghh!
#29
I matched with Electrocentre :)

JL had the model number wrong and they agreed to match :)
#30
How did you prove that lol Ive tried and tried but they wouldn't budge....Oh well I don't even need a BR player but a free one would be nice!!
#31
They changed the model number on the JL site so i was straight in there lol !
