Found this deal on currys and this morning I know there has been a Tesco and amazing price match deal for 474 but this is the 20v model for 499

I've done a comparaion and it's all the same only thing that looks diffrent is the stand

Don't know if this is a good deal or not but I'll leave you lot to judge

Also any tv nuts advice would be good as now I don't know which one to buy the Tesco deal listed here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lg-49uh610v-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv-webos-3xhdmi-2016-model-for-474-delivered-2515752

Or the currys one

I would avoid all LG '4k' TVs. they aren't true 4K. avoid.

It's just the budget LG 4K sets that you should avoid.

Could be referring to 10bit colour? Tbh the marketing on all manufactures has been highly misleading. If your set can't do 10bit colour you're not getting the UHD experience you probably expected to receive. I may be wrong, but i'm sure there's been alot of waffle marketing wise.

Read this link for info on RGBW TV's. TLDR: Don't buy RGBW TVs.

So is this set RGBW?

Forestgump I'd just read the tech radar review and make the decision for yourself yes there may be some guys that know a lot about this but from where I see it reviews are good picture quality is brilliant what can go wrong

bought this TV last week. hooked up to Sky Q and Xbox one S . looks amazing and we'll worth the money. big step up from 1080p
#23
Cheers cruise 851 just made it a easier decision

Save up for an OLED 4K TV.

Well of course it would look like a step up from 1080p, any 4K TV would. But in a few years time, when everyone else has proper 4K, you'll realise the lower quality of yours.

Yes it is. All cheap LG TV's are. I'd recommend going Panasonic, or if you don't mind some input lag if you're using it for gaming, Hisense.

I did a compare between the Panasonic and lg models I was looking at and lg came out on top

I mean do you people actually own a 4K tv to make a comment on this or just reading online sceptics and article because as tech radar was saying in the earlier link I posted there worth going for and for 500 would you rather have this or a full hd
1080p for the same price

Sorry if this comes across as arragont but end of the day this is a bargain so is the Tesco deal
#29
at the end of the day of you have 500 pounds to spend on a tv this one is great value for the money.
#30
Yeah I just did a comparaion on lg website between the Tesco model and this one and the only diffrence is the stand I still can't get my head around why there would be a diffrent model number for exactly the same tv I may even try get Currys's to match the ao deal

Most HDR sets are 8bit panels, but they stil display HDR well.
Unless you go for a Samsung SUHD or high end Sony you won't get a 10bit panel, then you're talking £1000 minimum

This is a proper 4K set ... are you referring to the HDR 8bit / 10bit panel argument?
I think you'll find the Panasonic's are only 8bit panels as well, unless you spend over £1000
