I know me too! It's all too confusing and the manufactures shouldn't be getting away with it

I have seen these sets in store though and they look very good picture quality

It is 10 bit, says so in the product description.

Dolby vision, Samsung sets don't have this key feature.

AVforums reckon it is 10bit (also inferred from LG's claim of "a billion colours" (2**10)**3 = a billion)

What makes it a better offer is 6 months SKY Q
see offer

5% cash back through quidco, I used company rewards scheme to get 6.5% off too so will cost just over £800 for the 55. Been waiting for a decent price drop for a while, cheers op.

I wouldn't mind if the 55inch was this price!

55inch is £900... (rather go with the samsung 55ks7000) which is definitely a 10bit panel!

Only thing with that tv is the ugly legs that are miles apart the ks8000 looks much better

Don't be fooled by the "promotion" on this one, the 49" and 55" (same models) were the same price approx a month ago (and there was a 10% off code doing the rounds).
However, it's a very good TV

These are only 8-bit panels & 2-bit dithering. The only 10-bit panel is the 950 although the xbox one s & amazon prime 4k see it as a 10-bit.

Source? Apart from displayspecifications as they are not always right, who actually gives that site their data?

I believe it was on hukd and was actually £750 but there was a code taking 10% off which unfortunately is no longer available

8 Bit with FRC
#18
Yes 8 bit but I still took the plunge at this price. Was looking at a ks7000 but its £200 more, has an awkward stand, lacks 3d and has inferior sound.

This is still able to show brilliant HDR effects but if you watch a lot of TV in the dark or inky blacks are important then I wouldn't recommend

I think the Panasonic dx750 would also be a good choice also 3d and will produce better blacks but its currently £850. Maybe it will drop for black friday

But at this price I don't think there's currently anything better. Maybe see if the Samsung ks7000 drops in price

Price dropped again to £699.
