i must admit i have one of these and they can be very reflective with the light, i dont know how it compares to any other plasma because this is the only one ive had
i would be tempted to buy it at this price though because i payed around £560 for mine a couple of months back

Finally taken the plunge and gone for this model...gets great reviews, and at this price has to be done. Now to work out a good sound system to go with it
#9
Very nice quality these, the only problem is the reflectivity. Ideally you need to watch this in minimum light possible, it's best used as a cinema set (ie near darkness). If you have large windows throwing light onto it ...........forget it.

Ordered the 42 inch for £360, is 8 inches worth £120?

EDIT: Crap, Amazon have dispatched

I doubt there is a better value for money tv out there at the moment! It gets very good reviews and most of which were done when the tv was costing more. At under £500 this is a no brainer!

Think that just about sums it up. Always something better available, but a quality 50" for under £500, wont find anything better

Amazon have great customer service, so Im sure no problem with returning it. Plus they're different TV's to compare directly as like for like (at a guess I reckon you're talking about LG 450?)....I was down to a choice between the two, the size of my room meant I could justify a 50"...but the 42" LG is a great telly too.

Many thanks OP I was going to order this model last night and thought I would hang on to see if any other offers came up. Good reviews for this set.

I suppose, LCD is better anyway IMO.

8 inches for £120 isn't really worth sending it back, I suppose.

Oh, and BTW, you have to list the price without Quidco, Mods won't be too happy...

Well whole can of worms on the LCD v Plasma debate...personally I think Plasma has the overall edge on LCD...but end of the day a good telly is a good telly so no need to get too hung up on trying to justify one over the other

Have had this tv since Xmas time and its been brilliant.

You may need a hdmi switch box as there is only 2 ports but they're only a few quid. I've got freesat box, 2 ps3's, 360 and surround sound all hooked up and works no problem.

Picture quality is great and games look superb on it. The tv is opposite a window and reflections can be seen during dark images on the screen but nothing too severe.

Games look great and really sharp but just be careful with image retention. Afew hours on COD or a racer and you can see some of the HUD on The screen when the picture is changed (like the mini map or rev counter for example) but this disappers over a few minutes.

My Panasonic plasma used to buzz quite a bit, I haven't heard anything from this one although it does get quite warm.
Another plus is its really thin for a plasma so easily wall mountable.

Razor frame looks nice, smart and modern in the living room.

It does everything I need it for well and with the addition of the hdmi switch box its been the best 500quid I've spent, no complaints here.

Cheers

Yeah course you can because all the big online only stores do HP, what a daft question if it was available im sure it would say on the site and really if you cant afford a £500 why are you even looking.

Well aren't you a complete pr*ck? PC World do finance plans, Currys do finance plans - it's not really that daft to wonder if Dixons do as well considering they're part of the same group is it, online or not? I'm sure when you're old enough to drive you'll be going to a dealership, cash in hand, to fork out for that special pink car all in one go won't you.

http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/Payment-Options-971-theme.html
no, Dixons do not offer finance for online customers.
None of the Dixons Group Sites seem to
just instore only, but since there are no Dixons highstreet or superstores, you can't buy it from them on finance.

Owned one since December, Pros: Looks great, very thin compared to others, fantastic picture, great sound and cheap to buy.
Cons: bad picture retention and very reflective.

Worth every penny!!!
