Worth every penny!!!
Is the pic retention that bad?
It can be very annoying at times, especially if you have any form of text up on the screen for too long, I left the iplayer menu up for about 15-20 mins while I waited for a program to be added and the text from the menu remained visible as 'ghost text' on the screen the rest of the day but was gone the following day. I have read it gets better the older the tv gets.

Crikey, that bad.
Just out of interest, how long have you had the tv and very roughly, how many hours has the tv been switched on and used for.
I have read that for something like the first 250 ish hours of use then the tv should be 'run in' ie brightness down, contrast down, colour down etc
I have no idea wether its true or not though

I have had the tv since December and it is usually on 6-8 hours a day so I have gone over the 250 hours but I must stress that it is only a real problem when you have the same still image up for a long period and if you are conscious of the problem you wont do that so not too much of an issue but I'd thought I would mention it. The first time it happened to me I thought it was permanently burnt into the screen (like the problem you use to get with old computer monitors) and I nearly started crying and felt very relieved when it went away. I also have the LG 50P J550 which suffers from the same problem so it is not a model issue, maybe a low end 50 inch plasma issue. Anyway I love the tv and I would recommend it.

Thanks for that...i may just go for this telly and sell my 42'' phillips plasma (with which I am more than happy)
I would love a 50'' plasma :)
Order one of these and and over a week later no sign of it - anyone got it delivered?
Its big. The screen is quite reflective. The colours seem very odd to me, coming from an old phillips lcd. It buzzes a fair bit. SD freeview looks ok, but a bit blocky. Satellite is better in SD, but HD is amazing. I just need an xbox now! Worth the wait and good value, my wife is waiting to try her CSI on a usb stick.
