Bestbuy have knocked £50 off the price of the LG 50PK350 50" plasma TV, to bring the price down to match that at Richer Sounds. The difference is, best buy offer 10% quidco, potentially making this tv £494.99 - An absolute steal for a 50" full HD plasma!

Worth noting - this is their bottom line plasma TV - so it only has 1 HDMI port at the back, and one at the bottom. As a result, its probably best for those who are using a AV reciever to switch HDMIs. Reviews are pretty good, but it doesn't have an anti-reflective coating on the screen, so if you're going to have your TV near a window, this might not be for you. It also doesn't have freeview HD or freesat, so you need your own HD source (ie sky or Virgin).

What warranty do they offer at bestbuy?

Poster is v. honest about screen.
Buy a cheap mirror -it'll remind you how lucky you are not to get this highly reflective tv. Doesn't sound a big deal ,I know, but you end up looking for reflections ! Made worse by the fact it's a dull plasma type tv anyway. OK if you watch tv in a dark cave .. but our main tv is in the front room.
I was looking to buy one of these a couple of weeks age but got a brighter, non-reflective lcd instead.

yeah get an LCD if you want crappy over saturated innaccurate colours, eye burning whites, backlight bleed, greyed out blacks and fading if you move off centre.

my living room is painted cream and even with the lights on, I don't see the reflections, or at least I dont LET MYSELF see them. I see whats on the screen.

plasma TVs are not 'dull' they are far superior and give a much more accurate representation of real world colours.
but some people don't like their TV to look like the real world. thats fine for animation and gaming, but for movies, skin tones and the like, you'll not get anywhere near the accuracy of s good plasma.
