Great price for a cracking TV,it does say delivery in 1-2 months but in my experience it will be days or a week or two at most.
#3
i had a printer delivered in two weeks so it is worth to try
#4
One other thing, this isn't just HD ready like your title says,it is in fact FULL 1080P HD.

Seen this TV several times, dont know why anyone rates it, its not a nice picture, and the reflection is terrible.
Paid 600 for a G20 50" which was 1300 when it was released, now thats a bargain

Looks like a good deal

Superb picture and an amazing TV for < £440 - has 2 HDMI sockets but this isn't an issue if your AV receiver has HDMI passthrough :)

Don't know what the naysayers are on about. I bought this when it was £514 a couple of months back, and it was an amazing bargain even then. Stunning picture quality for the money. Built-in sound is reasonable but not great, as is to be expected.

Doesn't have some of the bells and whistles of more recent models, like internet-connected widgets, but still plays videos in most popular codecs from a drive attached via its USB port.

My only real criticism is that it only has 2 HDMI ports, but this is irrelevant if you're connecting via a modern home cinema amp with 3 or 4 ports of its own.

At £440 this is a steal, I'd recommend it to anyone except those who are willing to shell out double that kind of money for a truly high-end model.

bahh..

It doesn't do 3D
no Infinity Black Pro or beat a Kuro
No Freeview HD
or Freesat HD
Or comes with a half naked lady..

so I'll give it a miss..
#22
not as good as a 900 pound sony ( that guy is a nitwit)
#23
Thanks to the op. just bought one since my rooms real dark, i'll be connecting to an AMP and I don't have Freeview HD. This will be for a mediacentre and games consoles only.!!;)

That is a very good price for a 50" plasma. LG plasmas are in general great value for money and deliver a nice picture. Though I think sacrifices seem to have been made in the audio department with the newer models - sound pretty tinny.

Still very good price for a big screen, can't go wrong. And Amazon service and after-service is always top-notch.

Its £439.99 for a 50" 1080p plasma with great reviews.. nevermind infinity black and other gimmicky rubbish. My mum has this TV, and for that price its an absolute bargain. Ive got a panasonic G20, and the picture it produces isnt too far apart

I know exactly who your talking about lol

I took the plunge, how can you resist a price like that! but i fear for another "sorry out of stock, refund pending" message.

hi, ordered this today from amazon for 469.99 (delivery within 7 days) order is still not dispatched so i can still cancel, is there a way i can get the t.v for 439.99 and still get it delivered within the 7 days (dont want to wait 1-2 months as per advert) thanx

Good deal indeed. Plasma for me wins every time. I have a Kuro and paid over £2k for a 50" so it shows just how much these are coming down in price. Only downside is the 2 HDMI inputs, but as previous poster says its not a problem if you have a dedicated amp, although Joe Bloggs may not have or require one. Great for the price and LG are pretty reliable as well. Heat added
#31
Same here, got it from Dixons for £514 a couple of months back, and it was great deal then. For 439.99 it is just a no-brainier. PQ is really excellent, this TV is ideal if you just need no-frills screen for media center/PS/XBOX etc.
#32
COLD....DO NOT BUY...this tv will cost you the same again in two years via the ammount of electric it eats...stick to lcd
#33
If I order this now and it takes AGES to come - can I cancel the order??

One other thing, this isn't just HD ready like your title says,it is in fact FULL 1080P HD.

It's HD ready because it doesnt have an inbuilt HD tuner it needs another source like bluray player or sky+HD for it to be able to display HD at 1080P.
#35
Um, am I doing it wrong? :s

Comes up as £534 + £15 P&P for me, aha.

You could always try calling or emailing them, explain that rather than cancel and order again, perhaps it would be in the interest of both parties if Amaazon simply refunded the difference.I believe that has worked for others in the past.
