LG 50PS6000 50 inch Plasma TV £549.00 prc DIRECT

I brought this TV a while ago and it is abosolutly fantastic. It looks brilliant as it does not have a normal surround. The whole front of the screen is all glass and flat.

A 50 inch Plasma at £549 is pretty good for a basic one but for this version is great. It has built in freeview too!

Delivery cost depends on where you live but is £9.99 for me so im guessing its the same for most of mainland UK.

I've just added it to the basket. No free delivery.

£9.95/£19.95/£29.95 Delivery Charges to N.London.

yes you need to add the £9.95 delivery
#5
IT adds it automatically but the total price is £558.95.

Its based on the Postcode but even the postcode for where the store/warehouse is is still charged at the advertised prices.

hi, what is standard freeview like and what is blu-ray like?

did you have to calibrate it?

thanks
#7
Standard delivery £64.95 (14 days)....what a bummer!!!

@ Jammiev - Ive been really impressed with the set. Had it for about 6 months now and it gets complemented loads. The Blu- Ray is really crisp and clear. I have a blu ray player with surround sound system and a PS3. It looks great with upscaled DVDs as well.

No I didnt calibrate it so its at stock settings. Im sure it could be tweaked but to be honest im happy with it just as it is.

Im after a 42 for the bedroom and if it wasnt so big I would happily get another one of these.

I think most people are getting £9.99 delivery charge except for Karagh. Worth checking by imputting your postcode.

plasma wat about screen burn on games !
#10
I think its called image retention rather than screen burn. Mine leaves a mark but does go very quickly (and I play pleanty of games on it). There is nothing for any length of time.

Yeah, most plasma's suffer from IR to some extent. Really only Panny's that are most resitant. I have the baby brother 50PS3000 and IR is only problem. Noticed really notciabled anyway. Good price for this set.

Not sure as I wouldn't be looking at the PK350 from Richer sounds for a tad more if a 50" Full HD is your thing, but thats just my opinion...?

I got 2 of these delivered over the past 2 weeks, first was for my brother who brought one at £569 to replace an older 40" sony LCD,he had to have me order it & have it delivered to my place due to his working hours but once we got it round to his place and set it up i was so impressed with it that i ordered one the following weekend (@ £558) to replace a samsung 42" LCD

Standard Def/Freeview is quite nice and as good as any set ive seen/used but like pretty much any non HD content on any HD set its just good not Amazing....as for Blu-Ray & HD MKV's (via WDTV) this set looks stunning

Avatar blu ray was the first thing i pulled out to try and i ended up watching almost an hour of it because it looked so good & pretty much everything ive tryed on it since has left me wondering why i didnt go for a 50" long before now,One of the coolest things about this set is the full fronted Glass screen that runs corner to corner as the lack of a recess'ed bevel really seems to help lift the picture

just make sure your not sat right ontop of it though as when you get within 2-3 feet it can look a bit grainy (that said if you need to sit that close to a 50" TV i dout you'ed even see the grain!)

I havent really noticed much/any IR on my set but my bro has his media center/PC hooked up and i did notice a bit of taskbar/face book IR on his set the other day, that said within a min of running the built in IR removal tools it was all gone

About the only thing i dont like is the amount of heat this set seems to put out after its been on for 12-14 hours(common with plasma's i've read) id also recommend killing all the dynamic colour/contrast/energy saving stuff as for me the effect those features were having quite a negative effect on the picture quaility

If you have the space for one and are into your HD content id totally recommend it,havent tryed the 360 on it yet as thats now gone upstairs with the samsung 42"

As for PRC themself i didnt really have a problem with ordering or delivery,i was called within 24 hours of both orders being placed, and after a few standard questions about what setup the TV was going to be added to and if i need leads, extented arrenty ect ect ect,a deliver date was given and that was that,

Delivery driver rang the morning it was due to give me a few hours headsup and helped me into the house with the set so all pretty much standard fair as far as any TV ordering/delivery i've had goes

Hope this helps out anyone thinking of going for one of these sets any quests just ask and i'll see if i can be or help :)

Awaiting Stock - Call 020 8911 0333

So not in stock but they let you buy one still anyway!?! Seems a bit of an odd way to do business to me. No indication of how long until they get stock. If you do buy one it could be weeks, days, months or never lol.

Expiring, no point buying something they don't have.
