Should have blagged a 55" Sony KDL-55EX503 for under £1,000 from Argos a few weeks back. The extra £1700 saving should pay for a few years' trips to Imax 3D movies, let alone local cinema 3Ds!

LG have followed Samsung into producing some outstanding kit. Time to bin the prejudices.

I wouldn't pay more than £1k for a Samsung eith. It's not prejudice, its called sense.

It's like paying £50k for a Ford. Nice cars but if you've got that kind of cash buy an Audi or a Merc.

Panasonic, then closely followed by Sony, certainly for their top end gear.

I own or have owned 6 Samsung TV's/TFT's over the past 10 years, basically best bang for the old £££'s, LG have always been a consideration, but Samsung just pipping it every time, though if I had £3k to spend on a set i'd certainly be looking better than LG/Samsung this time round.

personally i reckon sony stuff is over rated and over priced considering they user other people's panels in their sets and tart them up a bit.
Panasonic all the way, tho LG is a close second

Agree slightly, especially in their lower sets (Sony) however their higher end range are great. Panasonic though at high range are untouchable for me.
