Been looking for a new larger screen 3D tv for a short while to replace my 47 inch screen. Was only really looking at the LG range as they use passive glasses instead of the more expensive active glasses, I'm sure there are others but I like LG. Eventually found this tv for £400 less than both Richersounds & John Lewis, with free delivery and 5 year warranty included.

RGB customer service is rubbish not worth buying from them no matter how much you save

Good price if the 950 and not the 850 as the 850 often goes for this

I wanted one but reviews say there are problems with the 4k LG range. The search goes on.............

All modern TV's have some problems, the LG's are no different but I can assure you I'm more than happy with my 850 which is identical to the 950 bar the speakers.

£1499 now

So it is. I did wonder if it was a misprice as the 55UB850V was and is still listed at £50 more than this. Will be good to see if they honour the price I ordered it at or if they cancel the order.

Absolute rubbish :) Bought a 55ub830v locally in Cardiff and after several firmware upgrades it is flawless for me :) and at £899 i get 3d and 4k and WAY cheaper than the 850 / 950 :) for 100 quid more than the currys deal of then 55ub820v (same tv BUT no 3d on that one and no 5 year guarantee either) I settled on this one and am so glad I did:)

Thanks for your review .....and review of the reviews. Finding it difficult to decide where to spend my money. I wanted 55 " but the Panasonic 8 series don't do one....so annoying!

Well to be fair the reviews were actually spot on for the time, HOWEVER what swayed me to LG was the fact they had listened and released firmwares to resolve these issues.

Sister in law has a panasonic 3d tv and said with the glasses constantly shuttering she can't watch 3d content for longer than a few minutes at a time and so avoids it like the plague. I have to say I prefer passive too so you may wish to go try the panasonic and watch something with fast movement (boxing match or some such) and see how you feel.

Hope that helps, this was a big purchase for us and we pondered and worried but now are perfectly happy:)

Great price. £1599 at John Lewis but they price matched this no problem so bought from them.
