Not a great deal, it's an RGBW panel (so not true 4k), can't find any figures on brightness or contrast ratio and I've heard there are issues with latency...

Is rgbw no good then?

LG RGBW panels are rubbish, false advertising.

I'd rather buy a cheap generic £300 4K TV from a supermarket, at least they do use cheap 4K panels.

Well aware. Brightness and contrast ratio stats are missing, confirms RGBW panel. (unless you're including for other people to see for themselves, in which case, good job :))

I seem to keep asking this question in inactive threads and not getting a response... but hopefully someone can give me some advice as this is a thread from today!

I don't have any 4k devices but want to upgrade to a bigger TV. Is there a benefit to buying a 4k one or should I just get a decent 2nd hand HD 1080p TV off eBay for less than half the price?
