i'd rather buy three 42" plasmas and have some change ... ignoring the fact the 3d tv viewing without glasses is being demonstrated in japan this will be out of date sooner rather than later

It's nice to see 60 inch 3d tvs dropping below the 2k mark.

Electrocentre are a good company by the way. I bought my first widescreen tv from them 10 years ago - paid £750 for a 32 inch Sony Trinitron. Nobody had a widescreen tv in those days.

yeh but those are the 50s.. The difference in models between sizes can be much more than just the display size.

So build quality issues, firmware trouble etc, are not really applicable to the 60. Even revisions of the same model can differ a lot.

Anyway this is a new TV so, not likely to be multiple UK versions yet, but comparing the 50 to the 60 is not useful.

No, you clearly haven't read the thread. I have been following it intently for weeks as I have been waiting for this tv to come out. It's the 50 and the 60.

Trying to recommend a tv that is a mess frankly to other hukd members isn't useful :)

Be a while i think. I am going to wait and see what the 2011 panasonics are like before taking the plunge given the 50hz issues with the VT20 range (all sizes but more on 50 and 65).

If LG fix this set then it will become a possibility again
