Still waiting to pull the trigger on a new TV and came across this. It seems to tick all the box's with 4k and HDR.

NOTE THIS OFFER EXPIRES TODAY

The icing on the cake is that the price today is £999 which I thought wasn't too bad for a well known branded 4k/HDR TV but then noticed the £100 off code making it £899.

Use code: Save £100 off the marked price. Enter code LSTV100. Offer also available in store and for reserve and collect orders. (discount applied in store).

Smart TV features so Comes with netflix/Amazon etc.

Full details below

Enjoy stunning 4k visuals with the LG 60UH625V Smart 4k Ultra HD HDR 60" LED TV.

4k Ultra HD

Capable of producing up to four times the detail of Full HD, the 60UH625Vcreates images with amazing clarity, even when viewed up close.

An innovative anti-glare film helps to reduce reflection rate and allows you to see the details in the darkness, enhancing your visual experience.

It is also possible to upscale standard definition content to near 4k quality thanks to the six-step 4k upscaling technology, offering you a range of entertainment in incredible detail no matter what you're watching.

High Dynamic Range

With HDR quality, the UH625V displays true-to-life colours and shades, bringing your entertainment to life with colours and shades that are closer to real life. Whatever you are watching, you can enjoy incredible image quality with glistening light adding to the texture.

You'll be ready for the future of HDR content so you can make the most of this new picture quality.

Smart TV

The 625V boasts the webOS Smart TV platform, offering a range of smart entertainment options, including catch-up TV services such as BBC iPlayer and My5 as well as a huge range of apps. The webOS platform puts movies, sports, shows and more right at your fingertips. Watch live programmes, get up to speed using catch up TV services or browse through a range of handy and fun apps.

You can also use streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime for access to gripping box sets and movies.

Coming soon to the TV is Freeview Play, allowing you to find on demand programmes alongside up to 60 TV channels and 12 HD channels. You can scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last seven days, as long as you have an internet connection.

Design

With its ultra slim design, the 60UH625V enhances the aesthetic appeal of any room. An elegant plate ribbon stand offers a refined means of supporting the TV on a flat surface, while it is also possible to wall mount it (kit sold separately).

Enhance your home entertainment setup with the LG 60UH625V Smart 4k Ultra HD HDR 60" LED TV.

No point buying LG if true 4k is what you're after. The pixel structure their TVs use can't display the actual resolution of a 4k image. http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/rgbw-201510084189.htm

AO.com do it for around £718. Standard price £799, then a pop up appears on site with a £20 off code. Info on site shows £50 cashback and of course Quidco which tracks at £11.99. Straight after delivery (Free, ordered Saturday, here at 9.30 this morning) you get an email link to claim your cashback.

Good to see LG believe so much in their OLED as being better than HDR that they've released this.

How does this compare to a Hisense 55" M7000? Asides the obvious 5" smaller screen.....

That makes absolutely no sense!! OLED is a type of panel, HDR stands for high dynamic range and is available on both OLED and LCD panels.

People keep saying this, but they have been going in their current 'ownership' since 1984 - they must be doing something right/can't be all that bad.

I purchased a TV for over twice this price off them at the start of the year, and haven't had one sleepless night. As it happened there was a fault with the first TV they supplied (not their fault, it was a manufacturing issue), but they delivered a replacement to my door about 3 days later with no quibbles.

I've heard good and bad about Curry's - bad is usually when your item is over a year old and they just leave it to you to contact the manufacturer - in fact, on some occasions they do this within the year.

Staff don't have a Scooby about tech - clueless in fact.

The fact they exist is mainly down to monopoly.
