Doesnt do 3D.
Any idea if this is store specific, or trying to clear out the lot ???
Wondering if i should pop in on the way to work.
It will play DVD's if its region locked there will be a hack to unlock it just Google it, i have a Philips that i caught off here last year for £49.99 and it came with all the wildlife DVD's that where worth around £60 alone and the player is still one of there top line players that are £100, the moral of the story is within minutes id found a hack that even unlocked multiregion for the Blurays.
I don't know why this has gone hot because the players not listed on there website, what's happened is your store must of had the 5 players left sitting about in the stock room which hadn't sold and where old so they are selling them off cheap. You will find that it was just your store im voting cold and not even going to bother contacting the store because im that sure.

Bang on!
Bang on!
Totally agree. It's not hot if you don't even say which store you bought it from. In store deals are exclusive enough. No need to make it more difficult. Sure you don't work for Currys
It would help if you put the store and maybe a receipt to prove it though.

Bit harsh. OP is simply making people aware of what they found. If it was an interesting deal for you, its surely worth a phone call?
Anyway, its not a .97 deal, which indicates clearance, and the OP did ask if it was in all stores, so come on, give the guy a break.
Perhaps people should not be insisting on posting receipts, and try checking themselves before knocking the deal.
Dont like LG personally and already got a Panasonic and Sharp 3d BD player, but vote hot to counter the negativity that seems to cloud this sight lately.

That was the BD650 (wasn't it?)
Thanks for posting OP.

So far as I know this player cannot be made multi-region (at least by remote hacks - you may be able to buy a hardware hack).
If anyone finds a multi-region hack let me know as I've been looking on and off for more than a year and not found it yet
