Good deal, only online though, phoned Currys at Teesside Park and the manager just laughed when I asked if they were selling them at the same price,I just got one of these for the same price at Richer Sounds cos I didn't want to wait for delivery, but they do say that everything you buy at Currys/Comet etc is at least double the price they pay for them, so though it is a good deal, they could probably sell them at that price all the time and still make a profit!!

Don't forget though this unit doesn't have an ethernet port for streaming films and internet services..

Thankyou for posting! I've been after a blu ray player deal for ages. Missed out on yesterdays by minutes. Reading the comments on the other deal (guy buying loads to sell for profit) just added insult to injury.

Just bought my ONE, well chuffed. Thanks to the OP.

I purchased one of these from an Asda deal that was running on here in January, people found it's only the American version that has this built in, and not the European version..

Had exactly this issue yesterday and the guy on the phone tried telling me I needed to contact my bank as there was clearly an issue with my card and details - full of crap, he had no idea...... how about you're full of **** just like your website! (_;)

There were no problems with my bank details. I hadn't even been able to enter them at that stage. Thanks

I thought it might be due to them running out of stock so I went back to the beginning and cleared my basket. Was still listed as in stock at that point. Shoddy work on their part. Been wanting to get a blu-ray player for a while now and this was the one I'd singled out based one some very positive reviews. Really disappointed.

Just keep an eye out, same happened yesterday and then this morning back in stock, just keep watching as I guess they'll go online again at some point.....

DSG websites have been doing it all weekend... If it comes back into stock and you want to buy it - Don't sign in, create a new user and then it'll go through fine.

Try tomorrow morning. It seems that they sell a specific amount of items every day during this sale.

Mine is processing from currys.
#35
Just had an email via Currys apologising
Thank you for your recent CURRYS order.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform you that you may not receive your order within the delivery timescale indicated on the website. We will contact you shortly to discuss the matter with you, in the meantime please accept our apologies for the potential delay.

Really hope this isn't going down the cancellation route!
#36
I did mine through PC World this time as Currys kept bailing me out, or stuck at address, or stuck at payment - then I lost out. This morning I used PC World, straight through no issues and then received (if it helps anyone else) - "Order Acknowledgement" and now received "We are processing your PC World order"

Just incase anyone has email alerts set up for this and got the same email i did about them being out of stock and awaiting a delivery. I got an email this evening stating they cant get anymore LG but will sub for the Samsung SAMSUNG BD-E5300 so hopefully check your email as you have to call them to say you want it or you will be refunded.

I got that email and called them up to be told the Samsung BD-E5300 was also out of stock but they offered a Samsung BD-E5500/XU couldnt believe they were offering another alternative but definately not complaining.
