only £10 more than a BD-ROM (Reader)

Or £10 less than a used car. YMMV.

£65.98 delivered @ Amazon - This should be in the heading. (The correct price! The fact that it includes delivery and the vendor's identity).

I see someone's corrected the main price from £65.00 and it would seem that someone is trying to amend the header (but has put the price as £65.95).

Post - posting update - someone's now done it.

Good price. I just got a Dune D1 for Bluray. I'm still tempted by this though for 3D Bluray. I just need a 3D Bluray player to go with it lol. HOT from me.
#7
what's the software like for this ? If I used a hd camcorder is there software included with this drive that would let me burn it to a bluray which could be watched in any bluray player ?

It's been this price for most of June. http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/LG-BH10LS30-AUAR10B-Internal-Blu-Ray-Retail/product/B0035FF066

If you can do without a printed manual, you can get the bare kit for a quid less.

this seems to be holding it's value well... I bought it a long while back for just a 10er more... thought they would have been cheaper than this by now.
#10
I got it a week ago for around £55 from a different site, but an OEM version...

It's a strange HUKD, the other week someone posted the better Lite-on writer for £59.99 from PC World & Currys delivered, I bought it, was the retail model too (with lightscribe) and it hardly got any heat.

Good price for a good burner, I did initially have problems with it, till I attached it to the e-sata port, could be the case I used.

Here's the Lite-On one but it's now £69.99.

When I was searching, I noticed this LG deal at Amazon was posted a couple of weeks back and only got 77° so really this thread (the one with all the heat) should have been spammed.

Strange indeed.

Cheers I searched Curry's/ PCW for liteon and pcw only showed 1 hit. You need to type lite on :lol

Was just wanting to see model number to see why it's supposed to be better than the LG on offer

Can you run that as an external drive over esata to sata cable?

Yes. The end result will depend on your host chipset / caddy chipset etc.

You can also run over USB (look at top write speed for BR on this drive) I have a pio 202bdr and the early LG GGW-H20L which will burn @ fastest speed in specs over Usb.

This also depends on chipsets in mobo caddy etc (the Lg above max speed must surely be over the limit for USB bandwidth with it being a newer model so your esata option is better)

Thanks!

Need to justify the purchase now.
