SVP and bigpockets are both doing 10 packs of Mirror 25GB BD-R printable discs for £12 and £11 respectively. Just watch the postage costs. Not sure about the quality but Verbatim's are still around £4 to £5 each which I would find prohibitive.

Assuming prices go the same way as DVD. It took DVD writers around 6-9 months to fall from sub-£100 to sub-£40. At the point DVD writers went sub-£100, cheap media was around £1 per disc. At the point the DVD writers went sub-£40, you could pick-up good quality media for around 50p per disc. In other words, I expect writers to be below £40 in around 6 months time and for media to be better than half the price you can currently find it for. So, if you currently need a blu-ray writer, buy this but only buy media as and when you need it. If you can live without a blu-ray writer for another 6 months, wait.

I can wait till these drop to £30-£40 and media to lower price before venturing in. No longer will the day I spent £275 for 2x Cd rewriter like I did a decade ago.

Still cheaper that this deal marginally, and from a proper computer retailer. Thanks to the op though for alerting us to the drive in this price range.
