Very popular touch screen phone - I'm sure most of you will be familiar with this handset.

You often see the pink version on offer, but the black handset is usually more expensive.

Bought instore for my daughter, who already had an Orange PAYG phone - so I actually paid £49.99... the £10 credit wasn't compulsory. (I've included it in the price here as I'm sure some folks would complain that £49.99 isn't available to all customers...)

Looks to be online too...

The Blurb:

LG KP500 Cookie

The LG Cookie KP500 is a sweet little touch screen phone that's mouth-watering to look at thanks to its curvy shape and optional candy-coloured paint job.

It may be a treatsize mobile, but the Cookie still packs a 3 inch touch screen and loads of handy features, including a 3 Megapixel camera with video recording.

The display responds nicely to your taps and swipes but there's also an extendable stylus if you want to save your fingers.

The auto-rotate means it's comfortable any way up, either in landscape or portrait, and the motion sensor can be used to play a range of fun games, shaking and turning the phone to control the action on-screen.

The LG Cookie has two customisable homescreens, which both come with a range of useful widgets and mini applications. They'll give you instant access to stuff you need to find quickly like pictures, contacts, email or social networks such as Facebook.

Go online and browse the internet, update your status or send an instant message. You can also manage your email inbox using your mobile phone.

Allocate a mini speed dial box to each of your eight favourite friends and make calling them a breeze. Don't worry though, there's space for 1000 people in total in the address book so you won't go short on mates to ring.

The integrated music player can play a range of music files and is easily searchable so you won't have to spend ages tracking down tunes.

It simply syncs up with Windows Media Player on your PC using a USB cable to copy across the songs.

Add to that an MP4 video player, Bluetooth and nifty little organiser and the LG Cookie becomes one of the best value touch screens available.

It might not be a giant Cookie but it is still just as tasty and fulfilling.

I have just bought the same phone from Orange which is priced at £59.99. £5.00 back through Quidco. If you use orange regularly and top up regularly then you are credited with a phone fund. (percentage of what you top up with). If you register with orange on line you will be able to find out your phone fund. (mine was £28.00) which was taken from the full price and no top up required. The phone cost £26.00 in total (including Quidco). I also recycle my old phone which came in at £24.00 plus £1.50 quidco. So total cost 50p. Good eh!!!

I had thought of buying this on O2 as my son had one and he quite liked it but every time I've mentioned it on HUKD and MSE the comments about it are terrible - but I actually was under the impression it is/was a good phone!

Anyone?

I like mine, just struggled from going from slider to touch screen. Takes some getting used to but lots of gadgets, drawing, etc to keep occupied. Brill for the price. My son has the tocco and prefers my cookie.

Personally I'm not keen on touchscreen, but my other daughter has a cookie, as does my sister, and my wife has a genio - they're all very happy with their phones and recommend them.

As HB indicates, I'd probably be okay if I was using one every day, but from the little use I've had I'm not keen.
(Having said that, I love the iphone - used a mate's a few months back and was very impressed.)
