just got one of these on a new contract deal, though I'm keeping my old phone as planned I had to check it out as working before putting it on ebay.
It checked out ok, camera was fine and the phone was far from 'slow' - touch screen worked a treat.
good little phone, if I hadn't already got something better i'd have been happy to use it.
have some h and r OP

I'm in the negative camp I'm afraid... Had this 6 months now... texting is a nightmare! Keeps deleting words at random when typing... checking the internet, its not an uncommon problem. Try using the phone for an extended period and you'll see what I mean.

HOT for the deal... but if you text a lot.. avoid like the plague. Worst phone for texting I've ever used.

I quite like my cookie, the texting is definitely an aquired taste and best done in landscape with thumbnails and a good sturdy poke in which case its almost as fast as an iphone. Certainly not for everyone tho.

Thats exactly how I text... doesnt stop the dreaded deletions though. Cant understand why it does it... its entirely random.

good offer whether you like the phone or not

most people i know with this phone are fairly satisfied with it, and you cant ask for much more from a lower end touchscreen phone =]

good price, some people love the phone. Next best price is probably 59 quid at Very.co.uk

i didn't like this phone.

I kept it for two weeks......two weeks of heart ache

Apart from what everyone else has said it just felt like it was missing some passion, so i kept my W810i.

Even though I don't like this phone, for £50 quid touch screen ph, what could possibly go wrong.
#16
I have this phone. It's pretty terrible if you're expecting a lot. The touch sense is slow, it doesn't have wifi, camera is very and arguably below average. And I'm sure I've seen this for around 35 quid at Argos. Might have been due to Xmas, mind.

ihad it for a week, it seems a very long phone scared i would snap it in my pocket sitting down;-)

LG customer services are the worst i have ever dealt with.
I bought one of these for my daughter and it developed a charging problem.
I spoke with LG and they sent me a repair envelope which i sent the phone to them.
A week later i got a bill for over £100 saying the phone damage was not covered by warranty and if i don't want to pay and wish to have my phone returned i have to pay a £9 fee.
I know the phone was well looked after and was in perfect condition and after speaking with the repair place they gave me several different stories ranging from a loose connector to a cracked motherboard and at one point they said the phone had a bend in it. LOL, i sent them a phone not a banana!!!
I complained to LG but they didn't want to know.
I will never buy an LG item again and i will always advise people to steer clear of these robbing ******s.

the phone is pretty bad but for £50 it isnt bad.

This phone has glitzy good points but bad practical/useage points which even the latest firmware has not remedied. Texting bugs are terrible/inhuman and so is the touchscreen response/accuracy and unless you use a "wand"/stick, you'll be left wondering how humans got past the "discovering fire" stage. If you text regularly, beware otherwise, for a relatively cheapy touchscreen, it's OK. That's why it is now priced to empty the shelves for its, perhaps, more able/honest sibling/s.

To be fair, is it not possible the phone got damaged in the post, have you not thought of that?

The changing fault is a little 'iffy' and the £9 charge should have been explained before you returned the phone, but on the other-hand that's a cheap charge for assessing the damage on a non-warranty repair.

crap phone....like all LGs. I don't know why but LG phones are so unreliable (i work in a phone shop). My girlfriend has one of these starting switching off by itself after a week.

I included the possibility that the damage might have been caused in transit and also told them that the phone was only protected by a jiffy bag, no box or nothing was sent.

They didn't want to know.

The problem that the phone was sent for was for a in warranty repair, for a phone that is now deemed as non repairable it's quite amazing how i updated the firmware on it just before sending.
Not to worry though, some better company can have my dosh :)
