the cheapest postage is £4.50 parcel force standard 2-3 days. £7.50 for parcel force next day. i've been looking for one of these but i wanted a white/beige one

c'mon under £30 must be a good price for a lightscribe multi drive!

Great price adamck. I paid £370 for a single speed DVD writer in 2000, and £700 for a single speed CD writer in 1996, and CDR's were £8 each! Can't wait to spend £400 on an internal BR writer!
#5
br writer? whats that?
#6
Thanks for this adamck :) But why was it posted under Lambda-Tek deals and not Eclipse Computers? Thanks.

Sorri used froogle and found the "most relevant" result was £24 and i was posting that when i noticed the "cheapest" was £22 so edited and forgot to change that.
didnt realise froogle had affiliate links lol

isn't a 2mb buffer speed a bit slow? or am i confusing myself with hardrives?
#11
seems quick for me.
Has some super buffer multi thing and copies quicker than my last few dvd/cdrw's
#12
looks ok to me but not an exceptional price. overclockers.co.uk have some similarly priced dvd writers with similar specs
#13
Cheaper one here:

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119504

Lightscribe is nothing flash in this day and age, direct printing from a printer produces a much better image on the DVD.
#14
cheaper?
22.35 inc VAT (8p more) lol
#15
Ooops, sorry I thought yours was £22.77.

But the main point to my post was to make people aware that they are readily available around this price from almost anywhere.

Not knocking you mate, just trying to make people aware.

Also lightscribe is tedious, if anyone is buying one for disk printing I would recommend one the Epson R series printers that do this sort of thing.

They're down to £400 already! What are you waiting for? :)

Oh, £10 a disc. :x

is it burnproof?

I've been proper tempted to get a lightscribe drive for ages, until i discovered that you have to use special lightscribe media to use the lightscibe feature, and that media is way overpriced so don't be conned by the cheap price of the drives...

Of course they are, the only reason to get a lightscribe drive as opposed to a regular dvd burner is for the lightscribe feature, example..

I have a new full-featured optical drive now - a lightscribe purchase will only benefit me by the addition of the lightscribe function, which in order to use, requires me to buy special 'scribeable' discs, which are many times more expensive than your regular discs

I've used Eclipse several times before and had bad experiences with them....of course this was 5-ish years ago (never again) so maybe they've changed since then or I was unlucky....thought I'd mention it anyways. :/

Things must have improved with Eclipse - very fast delivery, well packaged, good communications.
DVD-r works well, really fast and quiet (first time I put anything into my computer myself so this is quite remarkable!).
