don't forget the bit of quidco you get, every penny counts :)
- Max-Power

Price increased by forty quid - BUT - may fall again - as the auction has had details changed very many times (mainly postage).

Ordered one cheers. Hopefully will be good for hooking up to my PS3 and MacBook Pro :)

Yep, just posted same and got it removed. Not sure how search didn't return this. Pretty hot from me.

Oh, it's not the same deal.

Oh, it is, but ebuyer are confusing things. Available direct from ebuyer (rather than via ebay dotd) for the same price with code SPY, along with other deals at http://www.ebuyer.com/code-orange

It's a stunningly good looking monitor but a lot of reviews say it is retina-burningly bright and colour reproduction (accuracy) is poor, just a warning, even though I will probably order one anyway.

I see someone ordered 8 of these...

You can get quidco going through ebay.

does anyone know how long the warranty is?

Does not have intergrated speakers so not the best choice for a console unless you have them plugged in seperatly. Good deal for the price though, we sell these at work for £150.

Super thin but very very wobbly, not sturdy at all. Picture is ok on these, but for the price, go for it, hot

How much do you get back from quidco. It says 40% but I'm sure that's not right.

1 year Parts & Labour.

Tempted to get this to use as an extended display for my laptop and for my PS3 (as it has HDCP).

The other monitor I was considering was the ViewSonic VX2453MH-LED - It's 24" but it has 2 HDMIs, and a nice design. 30,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast as well. Problem is it's £148 - is it worth it? :D

40% of the profit eBay makes - which is like 5% of the final selling price.

Reading a review it is not really suitable for ps3 gaming which is why I would be buying it, i.e. play that whilst she watches some nonsense like britains got the xfactor.

It's 40% of eBay commission, so based on price of £99.99 it will be about £3.20.
#21
Do you know how much is it going to cost for sending it to Greece?
#22
I own one of these and regularly use it for my PS3 as well as my PC. The quality is very good and it's not wobbly at all! They come with a screw you can screw the stand into and it's fine. It's a gorgeous monitor. I have to say the colour reproduction isn't as good as my Sony Bravia TV but that's to be expected tbh.

A quality monitor and for £100 you really can't go wrong.
#23
Colours are very bright and sharp, used it on my xbox for a year and a half before inheriting a bravia 32''. This is my PC monitor now, colours are great.

Would recommend to anyone, you just need a couple of logitech speakers and away you go.

Just turn the brightness and contrast down. That should help a bit to avoid retina burn :)

From Amazon:
"As other reviewers have mentioned, the setup is quite critical, and out of the box the picture is not terribly attractive. I went through a few different iterations at getting settings which had good colour, good gamma, good blacks and bright enough whites. Having done this and calibrated with 'QuickGamma' the display is perfect to my eye, with natural colours and revealing shadow detail. I use a TV Tuner card, so this monitor doubles up as a bedroom TV and it's better than a TV for that."
#28
Really nice looking monitor.
seems a good price too.

Source? On what basis is it not suitable for PS3?

It's 40% of eBay commission, so based on price of £99.99 it will be about £3.20.

It really depends on whether they take the gross or net FVF as a starting point.
The gross FVF for a business seller in this category would be 3% which = £3.
If they deduct the Sellers discount which in this case would be the maximum of 30% then it comes to £2.10.
As they are a VAT registered company eBay will deduct VAT at source at 15% (Luxembourg!) which brings it down to £1.82.
So in the worst case scenario the cashback is 73p.

Gone up in price to £139 & £10 for P&P.

Doesn't it show a headphone socket at the back? Thought it had no sound?
#36
It has a headphone (output) jack on the back, yes, but no speakers. The jack will get it's sound from the HDMI input . . . although I'm yet to get it working on mine.

Just connected a pair of these to my Windows 7 machine. The stand is a little flimsy and the picture quality and viewing angles are far from amazing but to expected at this price. Also one of the monitors is a little bigger than the other and its definitely noticeable. On the plus side LG does supply a decent length power cable that connects to an adaptor. I have more than enough cable to reach my UPS which was a problem with the more expensive Dell monitor I was using on the Windows machine. 21.5" monitors feel tiny to me as I write this I'm typing on a 27" imac with a 27" Dell U2711 connected to it as a secondary display. But for my limited time on the Windows machine they should be fine.

Overall I'd say I'm very satisfied with my purchase. :)

Mine came today, currently hooked up via HDMI to my MacBook Pro. In terms of looks, the monitor looks awesome, and once you configure it properly the picture is very good. 22" complements the 13" laptop well :)

Thanks for the deal poster :)
