Not sure that the LED ones are falling so fast - this is excellent.

they're always going down, but i guess its as good a deal as any. amazon have put their price up:

I placed an order for this @ Amazon recently when they reduced it to £349 but cancelled to buy the Samsung 32" full HD from Bestbuy for £254.

I do like a DVI or PC input on a TV though

I posted the 32LE4900 recently which was voted freezing cold, albeit another £100 but for another £100 I think HD freeview and 100 Htz is worth it....more HD channels will follow soon..... Hot anyway.

I have a similar LG model and they are very good. LG doesn't make the brightest of the LED TVs but it's not exactly poor lit either. To be honest I couldn't be happier of my purchase, it even reads MKV files and there are a lot of settings you can fiddle with. The freeview is practical to use and audio is excellent too.
£350 is an excellent price, I paid the same for mine but it was a 720p HD model

Just adding to this comment, wiki entry:

"It is not a true LED display but is often called "LED TV" by some manufacturers.[3] The use of LED backlighting has a dramatic impact, resulting in a thinner panel, less power consumption and heat dissipation, and a brighter display with better contrast levels. It does not affect the image quality"

It's backlit, to all intents and purposes. The edge-mounted LEDs are still placed behind the panel. The lighting has to emanate from behind the LCD panel to produce even lighting (via a diffuser panel that exists between the LCD panel and the edge-mounted backlight).

Yeah, even lighting, which is always on. It doesn't give the benefits of a fully LED backlit TV as it doesn't localise brightness to give greater contrast.

gaaah I am tired of this, ffs. No, it isn't as good as a Full Array LED TV, but it is lit with LEDs so its a f****** LED TV!! Just because there is another kind of TV which also uses LED called a full array LED TV does NOT mean that this one is not an LED TV.

What is this one partially lit by LEDs? Is there some other mysterious light source that we are not aware of.

It's an LCD TV with an LED backlight, calling a TV an "LED TV" is false advertising
#25
dont know about false advertising, but a marketing ploy it definitely is!

Ive only seen the 42" LG on display and next to a Samsung 40" was like watching SD over HD, prehaps worse. No matter how much I played with the settings it didn't make it any better. Although with nothing, or a lesser TV to compare to, you'd think the picture was great.
