Just can't decide whether to upgrade from my Nexus 4 to the LG G2 so keep checking the price and it's gone down £4.99 today!

Great camera, vibrant clear screen and superb battery life are really swaying me though.

NOTE: Please be aware that three buyers (including myself) have now received the phone which states 16gb on the box, 32gb on the phone and has Hong Kong based firmware, so although fulfilled by Amazon it all seems a little strange.

I have had this phone for a while now and still love it! The battery life is excellent and the screen is really good - I find it responsive and even the camera is pretty good. The ability to double tap the centre of the screen to turn it on and off is genius... downside is that I tap all our gadgets now and wonder why they don't turn on!

True, but I can't really see it coming down much more than this. It's now at the same price-point as the Nexus 5.

This is the best phone that I have ever owned, and will only replace it when I can afford the G3.

Apple, Samsung, Sony need to set up their game.

I think the only thing that's deterring me is that I'm used to the stock android experience and from my understanding the LG interface looks a little clunky, a but like how bad the Samsung one is. Not sure why these companies don't get some decent designers on board to sorry out their interfaces and icons.

great price! but my budget price is £250, don't think this will ever get that far down, so it is achoice between this out the nexus 5, which ever one gets there first!

I was exactly the same too, but having used this for around a month I have to say that all the extras are superb as is the phone.

Don't hesitate, buy yourself one.

I went from a Galaxy s4 to the nexus 5 biggest mistake hated the stock android so decided to get the lg g2. By far one of the best phones, love the double tap feature, battery life is great and the buttons on the back makes the phone feel perfect as for the interface looks good and ifs fast better than my 2 previous phones.

I have the Nexus 5 and I do love it. However, I don't love the media features so much. Primary, the really quiet and poor audio when using headphones and the really bad audio on video recordings (especially at gigs). And the battery life isn't brill. Would the G2 be a good swap? Does look like a fantastic phone. I just found this video it recorded, WOW!

I know it depends on your hand size but with my Nexus 4 I can use it with one hand, obviously not as easy as an iPhone in one hand, but just wondering whether it's possible with the G2?

Sorry, another question... How loud is the ring and how strong is the vibrate when receiving incoming calls? My Nexus 4 is hopeless on both counts.
#15
Which is better lg g2 or htc one

Battery life on this phone is awesome - I get 90 hours plus on a single charge and on moderate use. Best phone I have ever owned.
The back button may take some time to get used to however and the phone does feel plasticky - however as most people buy cases these days it doesnt matter that much - I got mine for free on EE 14 quid a month -total bargain!

JPS

this was supposed to be the must get phone just before release, what happened?

Got this phone a few weeks ago and it's amazing. Prior to getting it I wasn't fond of Android either due to bad past experiences but this ended up totally surprising me and i've gladly ditched my iPhone 5 now.

Scary to think how good the G3 must be.

• Would be an awesome swap!
• Camera is great (HDR works great too)
• Sound quality is good
• Battery life is awesome (gets me 5+hrs of SOT, I got 6 today)
• Screen is fantastic
• Double tap is a great feature
• Also, there are also a few extra features on the G2 that are not present on the N5. e.g. an IR blaster, Q-Slide apps, Guest mode and wireless storage

Here is an image of the SOT along with a short video sample (I'm not the best at recording) :

It is possible, but only just.
If you have small hands, it wont be possible though.

Sorry, another question... How loud is the ring and how strong is the vibrate when receiving incoming calls? My Nexus 4 is hopeless on both counts.

The ring is very loud but the vibrate is only ok - it can easily missed if on vibrate only. But you can set repeat notifications (which vibrate) for calls, texts etc. by using LightFlow.
(you can also configure the vibrate patterns for these repeat notifications, along with how often they occur and at what intervals they occur also)

for like 10 pound odd more you can get the 32gb model. from http://www.expansys.com/lg-g2-32gb-black-255412/ just bought mine with no probs so far. battery is amazing.

i bought the 32gb edition for like £10 more than this deal from expansys came next day. the phone is fully unlocked with no bloatware and can with a uk plug. been using it for 3 or 4 days now

I myself recently upgraded from Nexus 4 to G2. Well worth it! I echo other people's sentiments that this is the best phone I've ever owned. I also had reservations about the Android skin, but using Nova it's not really noticeable, and there's a way to make Knock On still work with Nova, which by the way is a great feature. Also great is the screen, battery life, camera and responsiveness of the phone. I will admit it is not as good for one handed usage, but they couldn't have done much better to make a 5.2" screen handleable.

Anyone knows how to get a korean version of this model, please? Korean seems to be much better with replaceable battery and sd card slot.

Cold I'm afraid. Exactly as above, for £10 more get double the ram. Ordered mine from amazon Sunday. Not arrived yet but looking forward to the change from Lumia 920

The main downside to this phone is it will make you embarrass yourself in the street because you're so excited you own one. Very annoying when you're trying to go home on the tube and having to breaking out in amateur dramatics >

same here. LG are streets ahead at the moment.

I changed 6months ago from Nexus 4 to G2. You may think your N4 is good, but once you used the G2, its night and day. Bigger screen, better battery and excellent camera. Also, if its important, G2 is 4G too.

Great value at the price.

Slightly concerns me regarding the lack of support from LG regarding the EU warranty though.

Under EU law Expansys is still responsible for fixing the phone if it breaks down due to a manufacturer's fault. But you're right, the warranty doesn't apply in the UK for the 32GB because it is not sold in the UK. But the 16GB version is too small as after the OS there's only 10.6GB left for everything else.

It is important to remember that 32GB models are not sold in the UK, and LG does NOT provide warranty (confirmed by LG) for the 32GB should you hit problems.

I have this phone - and put Cyanogenmod 11 (KitKat 4.4) on it for a stock Android experience (no LG clutter). So if you're a techie and feeling brave I'd recommend this. I'm running the latest nightly software releases for my G2 and it's incredibly stable and smooth.

Has to be the best phone I've owned. Had mine for several months now, only downside is the lack of storage and card slot. Thats easily sorted with on OTG thingy.

There are a few different kinds.
