No it's not - that links to Amazon direct at £279.99 which, just in case you are as weak minded as you appear, is MORE than £239.99

As much as you are right there is no need to be so horrible to someone.

You still seem to be struggling with the concept of £279.99 > £239.99, and also the fact that these are not used, but 7 day DSR returns - i.e. they have to be returned unused but hey, you keep going son.

Is this phone as good as everyone makes out?

I am running a Nexus 5 and love it, but my misses is on a Mot G at the moment and so I am looking for something a bit more swanky for her. This seems a good deal if its as good as my N 5 and has more battery?
#9
I ordered this, but then backed out after they emailed me back my password in clear text! (i.e. they are probably also storing them in clear text) and were then asking me equifax security checks which were apparently for my data protection!

Lets just say you'd probably want the G2 if you got for her.

Yes. Got the silly equifax bit also.

But worth the hassle. And hopefully I'll get the white one as advertised. But I have my doubts.

Is this a better phone than the xperia z1 compact?

I personally would take the Z1 compact over this, as I prefer smaller phones. There is quite a size difference in both. So a biased opinion would be voting for the Z1 as it's smaller(not thinner though), lighter, is water and dust proof, has a memory card slot and a better camera.

This LG G2 has a full HD screen and an infrared port(which actually has a few interesting uses - remote control for one). A plus to some may be the larger screen. G2 is also quite cheaper, very important! :p

Is this phone as good as everyone makes out?

I am running a Nexus 5 and love it, but my misses is on a Mot G at the moment and so I am looking for something a bit more swanky for her. This seems a good deal if its as good as my N 5 and has more battery?

I bought a G2 about 4 months ago for £230 brand new from someone as it was an upgrade that he didn't want, that was to replace my wife's galaxy s3. She struggled with the move from the samsung software to the LG so I managed to grit her an S4 from smartfonestore for £229 instead.

That left me with the G2 and my Nexus 5. I had the Nexus 5 from launch, it was replaced once under warranty for poor GPS lock, but both of the N5's would drop calls without warning the whole time. So after trialling the G2 myself, I rma'd the N5 a second time, sold the replacement N5 for £230 on ebay and kept the G2. G2 is superior to the N5 in every respect, battery life is epic, the N5 battery was good, but the G2 is something else. The G2 version of android is the best I've experienced and makes the stock android on the N5 feel a bit half hearted. I'm even a big fan now of the rear buttons and the tap tap feature. Only thing I miss from the N5 is the slightly squarer form of the phone.

Did exactly the same thing - ended up selling my N5 and keeping the G2 instead, superior in every respect. My wife ended up with an S4 as she prefers the samsung software.

Dull design
No microSD slot
Poor button placement...... I think you know where this is going........... I'm............. OUT! :D

I picked up a G2 to gave a play with on the HUKD for sale section a month or so ago, and I've used it as my main phone since then.

Fitting such a huge screen in a relatively tiny frame is a real feat of engineering. This G2 is the same size as my N5, despite the larger screen, and it's dwarfed by the Xperia Z1.

Battery life is incredible - five to six hours of screen on time with absolutely no restriction on background services and high location accuracy.

The LG skin is even quite smart, once you turn off all the Q slide type rubbish. The discreet pop ups for incoming calls and texts are a great touch, and I don't know how to emulate it with any other app or ROM.

I guess the only downside is storage, so if you game or like to carry around all your music with you, then it's not the phone for you. But, if you use soundcloud, spotify and Google or Dropbox for photo syncing (as I do), then I can't think of another phone that presents a better value proposition than this one, even at full price.
#33
wonderful phone. just bought international version for 249. comes with loads of bloat ware though. not sure how much free storage from 16gb will be left. i did get 50 gb from box as part of an lg offer. vote cold.
