I only use flubit for non electrical stuff. I think it's too much hassle going through them in the event there is a fault.

hot from me, but I will hold out for a few month for the LG4

it is a good deal but you are better off with the Moto X 2nd Gen or wait for the LG4 (i speak from experience as I have the Moto X and the G3)

Absolutely not. Whilst the purchasing experience will be identical and returns are theoretically easier, it isn't the same.

The product is sourced by the third party and there are too many fakes and grey import phones on Amazon (and elsewhere), which for me - whilst you can return the product - makes the little bit extra going through Amazon themselves worth it to be sure it is a genuine UK product.

Father got this phone phone yesterday. Having spent 24hours playing with it.. setting it up.. there was lag out of the box. Slightly disappointing but he doesn't notice it. Swapped the launcher to google now one and it reduced it slightly.

Other than that is amazing. Love it just as much as my N5.

2nd gen is, save the screen. But as you say it costs more.

And the whole 'just wait for G4' thing is stupid. When the G4 comes out, then what? Wait for the G5? And price again - the G3 wasn't £290 at launch, and neither will the G4 be.

Anyone know if this is better than the OnePlus One? Was going to order the 1+1 but there seems to be many issues, yellow screen issue, etc and the after sales support is poor. Now I'm down to the LG G3 and the HTC One M8...

One M8 camera is just ok, depends if the camera bothers you. I'm waiting for a Snapdragon 810 based phone next year. My N4 whilst a bit slow and old is doing the job running on Lollipop. I don't think you can go far wrong with a SGS5 even if it is made out of felt and balsa wood.

HTC One M8 is ancient in phone terms, and HTC never support their devices - you can forget about software updates once their next flagship comes out. Plus HTC has a crappy 2008-esque 4MP camera

Between this and OnePlus - I'd say Oneplus looks better/sleeker, performance is pretty similar, LG has an SD slot which was the clincher for me as well as a better camera

I wouldn't say it was ancient, and at the start of the year it was one of the best rated phones for usability. And the camera isn't 4MP its 4 Ultra Pixels while once blown up to A4 they don't look super high res I've seen some really good photos too and the low light performance is fab but they will go back to a standard camera affair with the M9. HTC have promised lollipop for the M8 and the M7 within 90 days. I don't like people miss informing others, fair enough have your opinion but don't talk out of your backside.

LG G3 is a lovely phone and this is a great price, not noticed much lag on a guys at work, not totally sold on the need for the higher res, sure some things look crisp but I'd prefer z3 compact style battery performance!

Cold, now £296.87

No phone is worth over £200, not when the batteries don't last a week and the internet is slow.

£64 more for the 32G if you got the cyber monday code. And the Moto X is a lot better then the G3. How do I know, i've got both here. Only thing that is better on the G3 is the camera which I will miss. The G3 suffers lag anyone who owns one suffers from it (if you are reading this on your G3 you've probably just missed a deal).
#30
People have nothing better to do than do complain so what if your G3 is lacking suck on it , what do you want for 289 , 289 to me a mid range level phone. Pay 100-120 more and get a m8 then.
#31
@djh that's an issue with your ropey provider not the phone. My providers 3G/4g is as quick as most people's home broadband.
#32
I ordered this deal on Sunday, and was due to arrive yesterday. Yodel are being their usual crappy selves have balls'ed up though and there's still no sign of it. I'm being told it will take "another number of days"!! :(

I'm have a fully updated g3 with action launcher and it certainly isn't laggy any more. All the issues have been sorted with updates so kudos to LG for that. It is a great phone.

would that still be backed by Amazon should you have any issues?

I think flubit goes through to the cheapest retailer, so it depends once invoiced whether that turned out to be Amazon I guess. I'm inconclusive so far.
