Save yourself the frustration and stay well clear of this phone. These have major software issues. Glitchy, slow and struggles to pick up reception. At any price I would vote this cold. I wish I had read the reviews before committing myself to this phone.

Glad you signed up just to tell us that. ;)

Have you upgraded to lollipop? I have this phone and found it glitchy and slow at first. Since upgrading to lollipop I love it. Also if you have the UK edition, 16gb isn't huge, see how much free space you have on your internal memory, if its not much then that may be your issue

I have the lg g3 and whilst it is impressive about 80% of the time, the other times it is glitch slow and struggles for reception.
The beautiful QHD screen does come at a cost!

this phone is a dog with fleas BUT a steal at this price.

there is enough out there in the dev community to right many of the wrongs it has and make it fly... just a question of whether the buyer can be bothered to do it.

Got an email account set on it? Lollipop changed all the settings on my email, it was refreshing every second and cost me my battery life and a bucket load of data.

you must have a bad phone. mine flies, no lag, glitches or anything. i get around 40hours on battery, with 4 and a half hours of screen time (33% brightness). same usage with a 1st gen moto g was giving me 18hours on battery, and 1 and a half hours of screen time :/

Also heat! I just happened to get my hands on a Vodafone Black Friday Deal £150 for LG G2, and I am quite happy with the performance of it. Was the LG G3 at the OP found price that time, would be taking a bit more to make my mind up.

It seems people that have issues with this phone must have bad units or something, i've been using mine for 3-4 months now and its flawless, every 'major issue' ive found online I havent experienced, the phone doesnt over heat, the OS is smooth as can be especially now on lolipop, it truly is the best smartphone out there and at sub £300 its perfect.

You should do a factory reset after upgrading to Lollipop. Mine was laggy as hell and the battery life was appalling. Did a reset and the battery is good for 2 days now, cured the lag issue too.

I got one recently on the currys deal, My two main problems are.

1) The headphone socket hisses, it seems it's a widely known problem.

2) Wireless charging is next to none existent, also seems like a very common problem.

Other than that the phone is terrific. As people have said very few glitches (even coming from a nexus 5) the screen is great and the battery is also great.

Why did you have more than one?? oO

Well spotted. Dixons at MAN are usually way over priced on everything.

Wasn't impressed with this phone at first. But now with a custom Rom on it, it's nearly perfect. Antutu score doubled since putting Android Now HD on it.

UK phone? valid warranty?

Had it since release day, before that g2. Bloody brilliant phones both of them. I haven't come across any problems except battery life isn't as good as on the g2, but saying that the g2 battery life was exceptional, and the g3 battery life still beats pretty much every phone.

I saw someone say that wireless charging is almost none existent?
I bought the dock thingy about 6 months ago, I half used it, once. I took a look at the box and say input was 1800, output was 1000. Now I know that my usual charger gives 1800, but you lose a hell of a lot in the 'wireless' process, so it charge nearly HALF as fast as you would charging it normally.

Faulty Phone mate ! Get it checked or replaced.

I've got the 32gb one.... and at first was great..... but after some time turned slow and laggy. Even the forum tweaks didn't help.... now with lollipop it's great!
but shame about battery

Having owned this phone, I'd say the only negative is the screen. Time, its a clear case if they shoe horned it in because they could, not because it was necessarily the best available. - the screen is dim and washed out compared to the best on the market.

I had the Note 3 and went to the HTC One M8 and I love it...I'd probably wait for the M9 now though. Even if you don't get it, the M8 would be cheaper.

Generally speaking, every smart phone has issues. Some issues are fixed with software updates whereas some issues are specific to a device or batch. Whilst one person may have had a terrible experience with this device, another 9 are enjoying it.

Just look at all the iPhones...

Same here had around a month and had no lag on it at all and battery is amazing. Can get a full day from it whereas my xperia Z was lucky if it ever made half a day. It is such an amazing phone and I have been getting so many compliments about it

anybody is free to raise their opinion however its a Heat from me

Anyone heard tried Nova Launcher and put all available settings to Faster Than Light? Would be interested if it has an effect on the lag. I sacked Action Launcher Pro because of inherent lag. Nova Launcher is the fastest launcher I've tried.
