I know there have been some good prices from Amazon Marketplace sellers and such but this is direct from Amazon themselves and I know the customer service makes a lot of difference to people. I have this phone and it is just amazing!

The Finest Visibility - the G3's stunning Quad HD display supports an astounding 538ppi, commonly used to print high-quality gallery artbooks. This delivers vibrant colours and ultra-sharp images (2560 x 1440) on a near zero bezel edge to edge 5.5" screen, so you can experience the exquisite picture quality of Quad HD right in the palm of your hand

Lightweight Metallic Design - a classic, metallic body adds comfort and portability. The intuitively refined Rear Key and Floating Arc Design make the sides much thinner, allowing easy one-hand control

Advanced OIS+ Camera with Laser Auto Focus - not only does the OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) function reduce blur and shaking, the laser measures the distance to the object instantly, giving you perfect quality photos at 13MP resolution. A range of camera functions means that you can leave your digital camera at home

Developed under the "Simple is the New Smart" concept, the LG G3 is a culmination of consumer research based on LG's product development philosophy, Learning from You. The result is that the G3 has been empowered with the best of what current technology has to offer, providing consumers with a user experience more ambitious than anything offered by LG before.

LG have taken their display experience and furnished the G3 smartphone with a breathtaking Quad HD display. With a pixel density of 538ppi, the screen sets a new viewing standard, producing images that are sharper and clearer than traditional smartphone displays. At 5.5", the G3 boasts a screen ratio of 76.4% with thin bezels all around so the phone feels as comfortable in the hand as a smaller traditional smartphone.

The high resolution display on the G3 also required LG engineers to pair it with battery technology that was just as innovative. The G3 has a 3000 mAh removable battery and advanced optimisation technologies to further maximise battery efficiency. By replacing the metal in the battery cathode with graphite, LG engineers were able to extend the lifespan. The result is a battery that can keep up with the Quad HD display's ultra-high performance without losing steam in the middle of the day.

The G3's advanced 13MP OIS+ camera is designed to quickly and easily capture life's special moments as they occur, not necessarily when you want them to occur. This is made possible with G3's innovative Laser Auto Focus, the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. This technology enables the G3 to capture the best moment (even in low light) by measuring the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam. Combined with the proven and popular OIS+ technology first seen in the G Pro 2, the G3 is sure to impress even the most discerning shutterbugs.

The 'Floating Arc' design of the G3, with its ergonomic arch and slim side profile, provides an extremely comfortable grip for everyday one-handed use. The Rear Key continues to anchor LG's innovative design language, with a newly designed power key and volume buttons as well as more premium quality materials and finish. LG have also refined sophisticated technical features and advancements located on the rear by arranging them in a clean and singular layout consistent with the G3's well-balanced design language. The stylish metallic skin with matte finish keeps the G3 looking clean and fingerprint-free.

why is it better?

G2 has the better battery life and doesn't have the slowdowns of the G3.

I think its just a software issue. No doubt an update will come along to alleviate any lag problems.

This is a LG phone though. Software support isn't really their thing

Really, love my G2 but the spec sheet for this had me drooling!!

Me too djjinx, but in real life usage it disappoints. The screen being the biggest disappointment of all, it's just so dull. The phone is laggy.
Plus when you've got used to the wonderful battery life of a G2, it's hard to go back to plugging the charger in at 5 or 6pm every day. Hang onto the G2 until the next crop of phones comes along
#15
OnePlus One, providing you can get an invite, is MUCH better value and a better phone I would argue.

The G3 was a step back from the G2 in my opinion.

I'm actually seriously considering selling my HTC One (M7) and getting a G2, just for the battery life. CEX will give me £171 for my One because it's in pristine condition so might just do a quick sell to them and get the G2.

Swapped my G3 for a S5 because it struggled to pick up an O2 signal. No problems with the Samsung. May have been a duff antenna but had lots of missed calls and texts so lost confidence in it

Had my G3 for 10 days before returning it. I had the same issues as this and also the signal quality was significantly worse.

I am back with my G2 again and very happy.

Id avoid this phone to be honest. I had it for a week and returned it. Loads of lag, random shutdowns and an awful sharpening effect on text. Big dissapointment.

I find it funny that people use quad HD screen to send sms and check their facebook. If you are some graphics designer go for it, but seriously it is astounding how some (and so many) people can be fooled by clever marketing. I think they will be doing documentaries in many many years to come saying how we in 2000+ were so stupid ..

Technically the most impressive Android phone. However the snapdragon 801 will struggle to power the screen. Hold on for the 805 version. Its already put in South Korea. My guess is that with iPhone 6 being a mere 3 months away, this device will get cheaper and the 'prime' version of the G3 and S5 will be out in the weeks to come.

And if you can really wait until October, the Nexus 6 with Android L will be out with all the hardware bells and whistles.

If you want to buy the best Android smartphone today, opt for the HTC ONE M8.

Not voted but I personally think this is cold compared the free watch deal on Amazon Germany, only £20 more and you get the watch that you can sell for £120-£150

You're simply guessing the unannounced Nexus 6 is out in October.

It is interesting that some people have not been impressed with the G3. I have found the screen to be fantastic, visibly much sharper than the G2 although the colours are not as eye popping as some people seem to prefer. There is little lag which I imagine will sorted with a software update, the phone is less than a month old. The OS is beautiful, much nicer than the G2. The only area where it performs poorly in comparison to the G2 is the battery - and the G2 battery is a legend.

I've got the Korean G3 with 32Gb rom and 3Gb ram. No lag here. No heat issues and 4G on Three.
Very limited development though as yet.

You can buy them direct from China. AliExpress has dozens of sellers, other big sites like GeekBuying.com dx.com have them too.

For those complaining about lag on the G3, Take a look at this thread for a fix and why it happens. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/mod-root-rid-lag-g3-t2819365. Some things are not always as clear cut as they seem

Selecting apps or browsing then going back to the home screen and waiting ages for everything to appear on screen ,it was the same with the g2, LG skin is just slowwww you can get rid of it by using say nova launcher but you shouldn't have to ,and for me phono signal is very poor the s5 always had signal where the g3 loses it ,but I just love the screen it is simply mesmerising IMO,some say they don't see it and have no lag but it berates me

I find it incredible that people think that the Snapdragon 801 is not powerful enough to power a 2k display. The Nexus 10 which is over 2 years old, which has a far lesser processor, handles it's respective display (over 2k) with no problems. The lag on the G3 is caused by it's software which isn't optimised enough as yet, but will improve over time.

It's a great phone which on paper is as good as, if not better than, every other flagship out there.

HOT from me!
